Hair loss experiences?
Hi everyone - its been so encouraging to read everyone's experiences and successes in December. My date is 11 January and I am incredibly excited.
One question = is hair loss/thinning very common? I've been told that Flax Seed Oil (tabs, sprinkle) will help prevent this. What's your experiences?
Also, there's a lot of chewables and protein drinks @ Whole Foods; more organics and non GMO. An extra bonus is that you can return something you've opened and tried if its no good for you or gross. A nice way to try some new things with less of a financial risk.
Be well and know those of us in the January group are reading and praying for all of you - congrats!!

Hi Tiffany,
I've heard this is common as well, but it usually doesn't start until about 3 months after surgery. My program recommends Biotin vitamins as well as increasing protein to 80-100 grams per day, if hair loss is a problem. I have really thick hair so I have noticed some strands coming out but it's about the same as after I had my 2 children. I lost some but it was never noticeable because I have so much hair.
Best wishes for your upcoming surgery!!
