Starting Liquids Tomorrow

The countdown is official... I start my liquid diet tomorrow morning, 12/27. I will be in the hospital at 9:45 am on 12/29. My surgery is scheduled for 11:10 am. I can't wait. I enjoyed my Christmas weekend and really haven't done the 'last meal' syndrome, but have enjoyed a few extras that I normally wouldn't have done. I have gained a little weight that past two weeks (could be that slice of cheesecake I've been eating each night). After tonight, no solids for some time. My daughter got a magic bullet for Christmas and I know I will be using it for some of my protein drinks (we have been playing with it already).

Patricia, We are having surgery on the same day, but different states. I am scheduled for 9 a.m. I have been on liquids now for 2 weeks per the Dr. This is something that all his patients do. I have lost 17.5 lbs already just doing this. But mentally it got me ready for the BIG day. Wow Jan, That is great... I don't know if I could of handled two weeks before hand. My two days are clear liquids, so I know it will be a little difficult, but when I get home, I will be able to have protein drinks and stuff, so they will be more filling and creamed soups.
