It WILL get better

Hello there all my little sisters and brothers. I'm just visiting, cause I'm a whole year out now. My surgery was 12-16-04 and it's been a wonderful journey. Check out the 12-04 message board. You will see how we are all doing. At first we were all babies like you. Our little pouchies hurt and we drank our meals too!! The weight almost fell off for the first 6 months or so and somehow we made it and our bodies started being our friends. Now it has been a year and we are working at it. So many of us are having a hard time (cheating with carbs!! ) But what a ride!!! I went from a size 26 to an 8 !! When I was in the car a few months ago I looked down and I didn't recognize my knees.. Guess what? my legs don't rub together!! And I'm off all of my meds. No more high blood pressure, sleep apnea, sugar or high colesterol. I can now get down on my knees and look under the couch. I can actually run up the stairs but I seem to still go down steps on leg at a time ( I'm over 60 and I gotta be careful!) My life is greatly improved and I know yours will be better!! Hi Judy!! My surgery was 4/26/05 and I am down 85 lbs.. I love looking at my reflection in a door while leaving a store...I can see light between my legs!! Its funny the little things you rejoice at!! This surgery saved my life!!! Gave me my life back and allowed me to stick my neck out and actually make some wonderful new friends.. Linda

Thanks for the uplifting posts!!!! Like the credit card ad says..PRICELESS! You both sound so wonderful..life on the otherside seems awesome! We just need to get over a few rough spots to get there. Sunny
