One week post op

I had surgery last Friday 12/16 afternoon and was home Sunday 12/19 morning. Other that the bruising hurting and being tired, I am doing great! I was so nervous going in and now I can't believe how pretty good I feel, considering everything that was done in there. I got home Sunday 12/18 and on Monday, I went to the grocery store with my husband and walked the whole store. I did OK -- wasn't hungry, but some items looked good. I have even been doing some cooking ! I am staying on my 1 ounce of slim fast per hour and other liquids (primarily water) in between. The sugar free popcicles are good when you think you have to chew and sugar free gum. If you have any questions on the hospital stay, surgery or anything, let me know. Stephanie, First and formost congrats on your surgery. I am glad to hear that things went well for you. Congratulations to you! I too had surgery on 12/16 and came home on 12/18. I have no complications thus far. I am pureed food and am ready for something new now. I went for my follow-up appointment today and I am down 24 lbs. It hasn't been all easy but I do not regret my decision one bit. Best of luck! JaNae
