I am post op 13 days and have lost 12 pounds post op and 15 since day of surgery. I have all chewable pills. B-12, can only be taken by placing a pill under your tounge or the shots. My iron is chewable, my multi vitamin is chewable and 3 tums a day for calcium is chewable. My doctor has vitamins available in the office. I am glad of that I was nervous about getting the right thing. Good Luck. Also, my doctor said vitamins etc were not necessary until after 1 week. I also plan to get Biotin for hair retention. Carol

My surgery was on 12/12, so I am a little over a week out now. Right now I take 2 chewable multivitamins (one in the morning, one in the late afternoon, made by Bariatric Advantage) a chewable iron (in the morning, also from Bariatric Advantage) a calcium citrate lozenge (again, from Bariatric Advantage, in late afternoon, or at least 2 hours after the iron so they can each absorb- I will probably switch from the lozenge to a chewable made by some other company) and a B-12 sublingual (under the tongue. late afternoon, made by wonderlabs). My B-12 sublingual thing also contains biotin and folic acid. For protein, I have started a love affair with those Isopure liquid protein drinks that have zero carbs and 40g of protein per bottle. Wow, those are good! I wish they weren't so expensive, but then I remind myself that I would probably spend just as much on soft drinks all day anyway, so this puts that money to better use! Good luck on your big day, best wishes for a speedy recovery! --Emily
