Surgery Dates this week

i have one day left until surgery and i am excited. good luck with your surgery.

I am scheduled for the 21st. I can't believe that the time has almost come. I can't wait to be on the losing side. I read a post from about dreams... I have been having starnge dreams too, I think it comes from anxiety. May God protect and bless each of you that are having surgery this week. Merry Christmas to all of you!

I can't believe it is almost here. I go in on the 20th for my surgery, and good luck to all of this week!!

Well since it is past midnight at this time I am officially 13 hours away from surgery. I have waited so long it doesn't seem real that the day has come. I am not a bit nervous or scared because I know my Lord will guide the surgical team and will hold me in his loving hands. Thanks for all the anticipated prayers and God be with you all through your journeys. Debbie

Im getting so excited my surgrey date is Thus 12/22/05. It almost here. I think Im ready. My family has been wonderful helping prepare for my big day of my "NEW LIFE". Good luck to everyone.

Hello everyone. My surgery is tomorrow at 1PM in Atlanta. We traveled home to Alabama for an early Christmas with the family since I may still be in the hospital for Christmas. My mom is the only one with internet so I'm getting a final boost of support before the big day.....lol. I'm having Lap Roux en Y done because it was the only one the insurance would cover, but that's okay. Did anyone else take a "underwear shot" pics of yourself? I did it and I was honestly disgusted with myself. I don't really look at myself in the mirror except for hair and makeup and I tend to "focus" on the areas I need to look at. All fears are pretty much gone after that hard look at myself. I think it is a good motivator to keep you on track afterwards. We'll see, won't we? LOL. I hope all of you are surviving your liquid diet stage while everyone else is pigging out around you..... lol. So far so good....... Keep your fingers crossed for me. My Surgery is Wednesday, December 21, 2005. Exactly two months to the day of my actually birthday! I am so excited and a little scared, but I am so ready to start my new life.

Hi Melissa Surgery is Wednesday but I have been so stressed out! I developed a cold on Thursday, went to my primary on Friday, said it was viral but put me on antibiotics anyways as a precaution, called the bariatric surgeons nurse to make sure the antibiotic was ok to take so close to surgery, she said yes, called me back same day on Friday and said I would need a clearance letter from primary by Monday, called primary (same day Friday) to see if they could write one and they said they'd have it done by Monday, Surgeons nurse called me today (monday) and said we don't have the letter you'll need to call your primary, called primary again and they said, "oh yes we consulted with the doctor you will need to come in today for a follow up visit before we will clear you, we can get you in at 3:15. . When were they going to call me to let me know I needed a follow up visit? Bad, Bad patient relations! But I am trying to remain calm because I know it is not good to get so worked up. I asked them to prepare the letter before I left and to have a fax confirmation ready for me before I leave the office. Anyways, I hope that everything is going smooth for everyone else. And I wish you all a speedy recovery. For those before me, save my seat on the losers bench. And for those after me I'll keep your seat warm. Have a great surgery day everyone Leah D
