home and feel like s.........
Had surgery Tuesday, home yesterday, and feel really bad. Not in terrible pain but much worse than I expected. I kept thinking, hoping, the 4th day out would get better, but noooooooo! Am I the only one that doesn't feel "good" this far out? I know everyone is different, but what day out did you really start to notice you were doing better?
well i had surgery the day after you did i only hurt where the drainage tube is and my back where i have to sleep on my back i can't lay on my side yet i still feel bad and a little weak plus have loose stools they said it might be because the took out my gallbladder to good luck hope you feel better soon
Hun, I cried for a couple of minutes last night because it seemed like everyone else was doing so well so much more quickly than me. I still have discomfort and some pain in the one and only incision area that has hurt me since surgery. I am doing okay, and we do heal at different rates. Surgeons do things differently. Different people's bodies react differently. I was mostly sad because NONE of the other incisions areas hurt, and I was thinking is only this one didn't, ya know?
You're not alone. I noticed that some of the people who had surgery on the 12th like me haven't posted yet, and I wonder if maybe they aren't feeling up to it yet.
A hug for you!
I so feel for you.. I had lap RNY on 12-12 and surgery went very well and I was up and walking within 4 hours of surgery. Got home on wednesday and I feel great when I am sitting or lying down...but my left side hurts and is swollen. My surgeon places a stitch in the muscle on that side and I guess that is where the stapler goes in as well...so it is still pretty painful. I did get off my pain meds today and I am taking liquid Tylenol. I feel better and better every day and I know this pain will soon pass and I will be enjoying myself fully...
