December 12th surgery dates??
Only 17 more hours to go...
Who all is having surgery on the 12th? I would love for us to all come together so that we can help each other along this journey.
I haven't even begun to pack my bag. I am just feeling like lounging about today. That's what Sundays are for, right? My DH is on his way home from work now, so maybe I feel a little more inspired once he gets here. I would like to go and vacuum out my car this afternoon since it needs it and I won't be able to maneuver about well enough to do it for a little while. I'm feeling a bit hungry. I've had a cup of chicken noodle soup minus the noodles so far today.
I did manage to uploaded a little bit of stuff to my website today if anyone wants to take a look.

Hi
My surgery is the 12th too. 12:30 to be exact. Rny, hopefully a lap procedure if possible. Just sitting around getting my fluids in this afternoon and drinking the wonderfull junk that cleans you out.UGH!!!
sf Jello and broth sound pretty good right now...
I haven't packed my bag yet either, my husband is also working and my dear son (14) just cleaned out the van. Sounds like our days are alot the same today
Good Luck!

my surgery is the 12th also.just packed and watching movies today.i think we just need to have the calmness before the next few stormy days.been on clear liquids last few day and bowel cleanse has been ok.i would love to keep up with others who are having the surgery on the same day.would be a great boost and we can help each other along.keep in touch.
I am officially packed. I'm sure I over packed, but I tend to do that every time I pack to go somewhere. Oh well! I am drinking a nice warm cup of clear soup from the Japanese restaurant. Mmmm. Tasty! I didn't have to do a bowel prep with the magnesium citrate. Yea for me! My doctor just has her patients drink clear liquids the day prior. I am so thankful for that!
I may have to take a benedryl or two in a few minutes so that I can get some sleep tonight. I slept late today, and I am not at all tired.
Well, I will see you all on the loosing side. I hope we all have remarkably good experiences. See you here in a few days!
Wow, a whole bunch of us. I'm just getting ready for bed. I have to be there at 5:30am. First of three. I've had a cold all week, great, but was cleared for surgery. Between the cold and the bowel prep I officially feel like sh*t. I wanted to be healthier and breathing better going in but what the hell. Just want to get it over with at this point. Having RNY. Ok then, good luck to all us 12/12's. Let's compare notes in a few days then. Cya......carbon
My surgery date is today (Dec 12th) and I am ready to go! I can't believe it's finally here! I was on all clear liquids yesterday then nothing after midnight. My surgery (Lap RNY) is at 12:30 but I have to check in at 10am, so I'll be on my way soon. I look forward to seeing everyone again on the losing side!
I'm home! I got home around 5pm yesterday afternoon. I thought I wasn't going to get to come home yesterday 'cause the hospital staff were dragging their a$$es so much. I got my first food post op on Wednesday ar 1:25pm, which was almost 24 hours after my swallow test. I had to successfully eat before I could come home, but they just wouldn't get the food there.
The hospital bed was HORRIBLE! Just coming home to my bed made me feel 8 times better! I was in much more pain than I had expected, but I can deal with it. I just wasn't expecting it.
Gas was horrible. Infant gas drops seemed to have helped tremendously. The worst part of surgery so far is having to have help with clean-up after a B.M. DH just says, "when it's love, it lasts!" He's a great guy. The hospital staff commented on how attentive he is. Men don't do much to keep the hospital room straightened up though, do they?
Hope to hear from the rest of you 12-12'ers soon!
