Post-op Dec 6th

Hi to my fellow December WLS community. I had my laprascopic RYN on Tuesday morning, December 6th. I felt pretty horrible post-op 12/6 & 12/7, but I improved GREATLY on Thursday, 12/8, and by late that afternoon, I was able to go home. I am very happy to be home and I am much more comfortable. I am doing great on my clear liquids. SF popsicles are a "must-have" ( at least for me). I have been running a low-grade temp. I was told not to call unless my temp was 101. It's been 100.8, 100.4, etc. This morning it was 99.5, so hopefully I've turned a corner on this issue. I've been deep breathing and moving about frequently, but not walking as much as I should. I was required to come off my arthritis meds (2 weeks prior to surgery) that I have been taking for 10 years. Needless to say, I have had crippling joint pain since coming off the med, so I wasn't even ambulating well going into the surgery. I'll have to work on this issue. Carolyn, So good to hear you are on the upward slide! My date is WED, 12/14 for RNY-laprascopic. I will remember TH and FR may be rough and keep my eye on SATURDAY!!! Keep up the good mending! Vicky

Congratulations Carolyn! Glad you got over the hump! My date for lap RNY is Monday 12/12. Thanks for the news, it'll help me shoot for Wednesday! kelly
