had my surgery 12/5 doing great

Hi all: Well, I made it to the other side! Woohoo! Yippie! I had my surgery on Monday 12/5 and returned home Wed afternoon 12/7. I am doing excellent. Yesterday, I was exhausted and had a little fever, but as the day went on and I ate (drank), I felt much better. I think not having anything for 10 hrs had really wiped me out. Last night, I had more meals and this morning, I made sure I ate sooner. I'm doing great overall. A message to all who are getting ready to go in: be of good cheer; you'll do fine! My prayers are with you all!

Congrats to you. I went in Tuesday and I too am doing EXELLENT as well. I firmly believe that a positive mental attitude is a huge benefit. The ONLY time I even felt sick was 24 hrs post-op because of the staples, they caused some slight bleeding, but everything worked out perfectly. I feel great, I have to make myself eat, I am NEVER hungry. This is the best thing I have ever done for myself. I am so happy for both of us. I can't wait to be a big loser. My surgery was 12/2. I am one week out and doing wonderfully! Congratulations on your surgery! Isn't it great to be on the "losing side" finally? Best of luck!
