Got my (2nd) Date!!!

Hiya, I was approved and scheduled to go to surgery last month on Nov 11, but the day before they told me I still needed one more med test for an abdominal ultrasound. After I got that all cleared up they told me I'm scheduled for sometime in Jan. But after persuading them, I got it bumped to Dec 14th next week. They said I'll be the 3rd case that day for the doctor, so wish me luck.

My surgery was December 2nd and I was the 3rd case for the doctor. I am now 1 week post op and doing great! I'm a bit glad that I was the 3rd case, ashamed to admit it, but I could hear his first case post-op, across the hall from my room, moaning. I asked my husband if I ever moaned like that, thinking perhaps that it was due to drugs, but he said "No; that I had come through with flying colors, surgery for me only took one hour, I had no drainage tubes, and apparently the surgeon did an exceptional job." I am doing fine and down 18 pounds already. Don't worry about being third on the list, that simply means the doc is even more experienced!
