Oh boy, is it really almost here??? I am beginning to be so full of a gabillion questions about how, what, when! I researched the procedure for a year before I made the first call. 12-7 I see the surgeon for the last pre-op consult and my WLS(RNY) date is 12-14. Goodness.....I can ask alot of questions!
Vicky
PS What is an angel on here?
Congrats Vicky,
It's really almost here!!! Now is definitely the time for all those questions to be asked. I'll be banded 2 days before your RNY, so, I understand the agony of this waiting period.
An angel??? Well, we are all angels. With every smile we give ......, every 'atta-boy' we utter ......, and every time we share our experiences with another ...... to make them (and ourselves) stronger in this quest of becoming a healthy, normal-weighted person . Every time we share a tear ......, jump up and down with excitement ......, or just giggle our way through the day to make everyone else wonder what we're up to ......, we are being an angel for some one, some where....
(I think)

An angel is someone you designate to get back online and let us all know how you are doing... Believe it or not even STATES away we care about your progress..
Someone who will stop by the hospital or one you can call after surgery and they can pass the news on..
Here in Indy we have the Melting Ladies of Indy (soon to be Hoosier loosers since we are getting men join us)
Best of Luck and enjoy the journey!!!

Linda,
I am enjoying this site and the great people! Thank you for your encouragement too! Seven months, WOW! I hope each day is better and stronger for you!
The support group idea is key. I am going to find more of that here in FL. We have a monthly support meeting for the surgeon's group. It seems like the newbies come for a bit and then fade away after a few months. How do you keep people interested?
