!!Liquid Diet!!
Hi Naja,
Did your doc or nutritionist give you a diet to follow? I assume they did and I am noticing that docs seem to do things differently but everyone must follow what THEIR doc said.
Having said that, I started my liquid diet three days ago and I am finding Isopure (from GNC) to be a lifesaver. One bottle a day counts 20 oz. toward fluids and 40 g. toward protein. I have also found "H20" (from the grocery store) helpful when I get sick of plain water. My diet also allows low sodium V-8 juice which under normal cir****tances I would hate, but I have found it surprisingly tasty because its so different from the chicken broth and jello routine. It gives some variety. Maybe you can see if any of these things are allowed for you. Hope this helps!

you can try some Isopure protein drinks too. It's premade and you can get it in the health food store. They have all kinds of flavors. It's not Gatorade but I'm trying to give you an idea of something similar.
They have apple Melon, Passion Fruit, Kiwi Strawberry, Icy Orange, etc.
I think the Apple Melon & Icy Orange are best and they have 40g of Protein to boot. That's what I'm doing right now. My surgery is tomorrow.
Best wishes on yours & God bless,
Lisa
