I can finally join here!

Hello! I can finally join here. I'm having the Lap Band surgery on Dec 8th. My pre-op testing will be Dec 6th. I'm so excited!! They sure didn't give me much time to be nervous! Probably better this way! Anyways I can't wait to get to know you all!! ~Jess Soon to be banded!

HOORAY for you Jess. I, like Jenny am having RNY on the 6th. I agree too that having a date makes it a reality. I actually cried (out of joy & relief) when I got mine. You will be in my thoughts. Jump up and down to CELEBRATE!!!!!! Good Luck. Brenna

Hi Jess ! I am right there with you girl! I am having Lap-Band surgery on Friday, Dec 9th. I would love to exchange details about the before & after process. I go for my pre-op testing with my PCP on Monday and then meet with the surgeon's nurse & nutritionist on Tuesday and then surgery on Friday. Do you stay overnight in the hospital? Do you have to do a bowel prep? I am not sure of either of these but will find out on Tuesday..which is not sooner enough because I am a planner. Judith G Inver Grove Heights, MN
