Dec 12th in Los Angeles!

I see by the list that there's a number of us going in that Monday. My head is swimming along with the rest of you. Part of me feels like someone else did all the leg work and pre-op testing and the real me is not going in. Make any sense? I knew I had to do this but my mind is playing some sort of denial or defense strategy. Well, good luck to all and let's compare notes on the other side..........

Hi Carbon Blob, I have the same date across the country so I guess I'll be about 3 hrs ahead! Yes, some other very calm, rational person did all the decision making, the pre-op tests etc. Then some terrified, anxious person showed up this weekend for a two day bout with nerves. Thankfully she seems to have departed for the moment. I guess it comes and goes and its normal...the swimming head thing. It's tough though! Kelly

Hey Kelly, It is a head banger huh? I've noticed I've been leaning on this web site big time. I must spend at least an hour a day gleaning anything I can in terms of what to expect before and after surgery. I've been relatively calm but like I said, I chalk that up to going through the motions as opposed to being in the moment. You and I are almost the exact same weight! I'm sure we'll make our goals. I have a game plan all ready that I've fashioned from using this web site. It's pretty simple but if everything was really that simple when it comes to weight loss we wouldn't be here! I haven't even looked ahead really. Just a few glimpes but when I look at the before and after pics here, well, who wouldn't get excited at the prospect? Well, I'm here for ya.
