Newbie here - surgery date 12-5-05!!!

I am so excited! I finally have a date scheduled. I have been overweight since I was 12, and am 34 now, so this will be an awesome change in my life! My husband had a RNY last year in September so he will be a great support for me. (Or at least he better be!)

Doreen: I'm on for 12-5 too. I'm 37 and have been heavy my whole life. I've gone up & down adn then after a serious back injury, went way up. At my heaviest, I was 282. I've gotten down to 242, and am sooooo looking forward to knocking off 100 lbs. We are going to have new lives! I'm so excited. May God be with you during this process. I will keep you in my prayers. Lisa, Awesome!! That's so cool that we have the same date. I am at my heaviest non-pregnant weight of 327.5 currently.... so 242 sounds pretty damn good to me! LOL. I will get there though. Congrats on losing some before your surgery. I will keep you in my prayers as well. Thanks so much, Doreen

Hi Doreen, I'm scheduled for surgery on the same day!! You're very lucky to have a support person who has gone thru this already. My husband isn't overweight and never has been but he's very supportive (and proud) of my decision and attends as many support group meetings as he can. I will say an extra prayer for you and all of the OH members as they prep me on the 5th. Good luck and can't wait to read your updates from the "loosing side". Happy Thanksgiving, Renee
