Newbie here!!!! 12-12-05 is my day!!!!!!

Hi everyone!!!!! I know that you all are as happy as I am to finally have our day approaching. I am having RNY and if I lose 30lbs before then I can have it lap. Does anyone else have to lose weight?? If so what r u doing in such a short amount of time?? Treva

Hi Treva! Welcome, Welcome, Welcome!!!! My date is 2 days after yours, 12/14/2005... and yes, I'm VERY excited too. As far as the Lap verses Open, mine is scheduled to be Lap (all of my surgeon's are performed Lap 95% of the time) and they don't have a requirement to lose weight prior. Treva Welcome - my day is Dec 12 2005 too. Where are you having your Surgery. I am having LAP I did have to lose some weight just to show I could and then keep it off before the surgery. I have been doing Curves and cutting out the Carbs and sugar. It has helped a little I have lost about 10 pounds this month. Good luck - please feel free to email me anytime. Tina
