Hi!!! I am 49 years YOUNG, 5'9" (I've grown and Inch since surgery?)..starting weight was 248. I had my surgery on the 30th of December and wore a size 20. I had a WOW day today. I went shopping to by some clothes that would fit, because all the 14's I bought in May are bagging. I figured down 1 size, so I took several pairs of size 12 jeans to the dressing room to try on and they were ALL too big! I'm in a size 8!!! I bought two pairs of jeans, a pair of Guess and a pair of Ralph Lauren Size 8, from TJ MAX for 20.00 bucks a peice..double WOW. I seen the same Ralph Lauren Jeans for 83.oo at the mall~~ I am happy as can be, but a little worried too, because I am at a perfect weight for my height. I'm at 155 now and not even half way to the end of the "Honeymoon" stage. I'm eating well..and eating more than ever, but seems the more I eat the more I lose! Does anyone else have this problem?

I definitely don't have that problem! I have heard others say that if you really want to stop losing to up your carbs. Personally, I wouldn't worry about getting too skinny yet. I'd just do what you are doing and if you lose more, at least you'll have room for the rebound weight some people gain. I was actually hoping to get a little too thin so that when that comes back, I'd still be small. Just a thought! Congrats on your weight loss. Sherry

7 month anniversary today! Day of surgery: 269. Weight today: 196. Total loss: 73lbs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tons of inches as well. Went from a size 26/28 to a size 16/18 (depending on the clothing). I can take stairs at a run without panting- working out is alot easier now- cardio especially. I don't have to strategically position my face in pictures to hide my chins! I don't obsess about food every minute of every day. I can keep up with my kids now- I can fit places- booths, amusement park rides you name it! I'm small! Whoooooooooooo!

I so love not obsessing about food every minute of the day. It's such freedom!

Sherry, I was looking at your page and we share a surgery date. I was 1 lb heavier than you were. I'm 174 lbs now. You really should put some updated pics on your site so we can see your progress. It's good to see everyone doing so well.

It's nice to know we are at about the same place. Sometimes I feel like I am so slow! I do need a new picture! I've been planning on working on that. You need one, too! Sherry

I'm 37 yrs. old, 4'10". I had my surgery December 28, 2005 and weighed 218lbs. I weigh 128 lbs now and wear a size 8 clothes. My Dr.'s initial goal for me was to weigh 103 lbs, but when I went for my 6 month check-up he said he doesn't want me below 125. I'm suppose to weigh 118 lbs not to be considered overweight so that's my goal! I've had lots of people tell my I look skinny! It feels good, but it feels so much better to feel healthy! I go to the gym 5 days a week, but my weight loss has really really slowed down!
