Hair lost and texture

Not only is my hair still coming out the texture has changed. My hair is or was really hard course and so kinky you could hit me in the head with a brick and I wouldn't feel it. It is coming out. I have new growth to and it feels soft medium fine and no where as kinky as it was. I keep touching it because it feels funny to me. Please no one hit me with a brick now. You may kill me! Any one elses texture change on you? Once it stops falling out will the old texture come back? I have seen people that have had chemo hair texture change and I am wondering if our bodies are going through something like that

My hair has stopped falling out. My doctor's office insisted the make sure I'm getting enough protein each day. The texture hasn't changed, but there is much less of it. Fortunately, if I don't mention it, no one can tell except me.

Hey there Petty - I feel you but me it's the opposite - I am in dire need of a relaxer the new growth is coming in super kinky - needless to say it's broken off bad - I've resorted to extensions last week - I think that I sm going to wait till next week and go and get some micro braids -Jo

Hi Petty, My hair has fallen out some, but not too much, thank goodness, or I would be bald. I wish my texture would change. My hair, even though it is dark brown, is very fine and straight, like a very blonde person's is. It is now even finer than it was before surgery and much thinner. *sigh* I get plenty of protein too! Hey Petty, I took my braids out this weekend and now I am starting to experience the same thing. Oh trust me I am still knappy and happy, but its not as bad as it use to be *shrugs* I am going to get my hair done this weekend so we shall see what my stylist says. Eitherway, I am still rocking the wig...lol
