hello all i'am having a really hard time here..i seen dr malik in cary back in feb about wls.i been trying for 4 years just to get a appt with a surgeon. finally i got one..only to be told he couldnt help me...he said he could and would do the wls on me but rex hospital doesnt take pepole over 400lbs...dr malik promised me he would help find me a surgeon and a hospital that would take me.well its been almost 4 weeks now and no call from his office..i call there almost everyday but get told they will call me back....i'am desperate here i need the wls very bad...my life has come to complete stop.i just dont know what to do...i feel hopeless again...i have called many other wls but have had no luck..is there somebody anybody that can help me? i have a 14 year old son and we have no family..i basically have no one to help support me....i know without the surgery i'am gonna die n for once in my life i dont wanna die..i wanna live..feel hopeless n worthless....

Try Dr. Cook in Hickory, he takes people over 400 pounds. He is a very caring doctor and his staff is great as well.

Dr. Gilman in Salisbury does over 400lbs. It takes about 2-3 months to have surgery with him from start to finish. Good luck.
