how much are you eating at each meal?
hi fellow decembers!! i had surgery dec 20th and have lost 76 pounds (yay!).. just curious how much everyone is eating. i saw a recent post indicating that someone was told to eat 2 ounces per meal.. that is ridiculous! i eat about 4-6 ounces per meal and try to break it up into protein, veggie and if i have room a little carb. i also have 3 protein shakes a day... also all vitamins, etc. so far, so good.. i'm just curious how much you are eating???
i have lost 75 pounds my surgery date was dec 6 2005, i started out at 243, i eat about 3 4 ounces, i have 2 protien shakes a day, here is a normal day for me breakfast protien drink then 45 minuites ladder yogurt with apples, snack a piece of beef jerky, lunch 1/4 of ww pita with turkey and cheese, snack protien ball, dinner 3 ounce of chicken and a small salad.........and of course my vitamins and lots of water
My surgery was December 28th. I've lost 75 lbs so far. Sometimes I'm surprised by how much I can eat. Here's a breakdown: Cottage cheese about 1/2 cup with .25 cup fruit, chili-about a cup with 3 crackers, about 1/2 to 3/4 cup cereal, about 2 ounces of meat (still don't do well with meat). I average between 800 and 1000 calories a day. I drink one or two protein drinks a day.
I have lost 80 pounds since surgery, but I find that as time goes on, I'm able to eat more. Yesterday, I really "blew" it. We went to Chinese for dinner-first time since way before surgery, and I'm sorry to say-I ate too much-with no consequences. I'm hoping that since it was mostly shrimp-about 20 pieces-it won't count, LOL. But probably, the few bites of fried rice, the few bites of peanut chicken, and about 1/4 piece of General Tso's, along with about 1/2 cup ice cream-with butterscotch topping-will come back to haunt me on the scale. Oh my. Well, todays another day, and I'm getting back on the wagon.
USUALLY, I have a shake for breakfast, 1/2 a lean entree and a few graham crackers for lunch, and a small amount of meat with salad or another protien for dinner, and snack on a piece of string cheese or a yogurt.
