Am I going overboard?
Ok, here is the deal I have decided to go straight liquids for the next two weeks. My coworker, who has been by my side since fighting with Aetna thinks this is crazy as I barely eat now. I don't think I am being "crackheadish" as she said, but I want to go back to the basics to help boost my loss. I will admit, I will be six months out on June 21 and I am less than 20lbs from hitting 100lbs. Do you think I am taking it to the extreme with this?
Ebony,
Congrats to you on the amount you have lost. I am not sure about going back to fluids at this point. I just do not think you can get in all your protein and calories that you need by simply taking in all fluids. That is just my opinion. Have you tried upping your protein, and also even though it sounds wierd adding a few more calories. My doctor said to me that I was starving my body but not getting in enough calories. At the time, I refused to get in more than 500. And, before surgery I am sure that I was getting in more than 2500 to 3000 a day.
This is only my opinion, please talk with your surgeon or your nut.

Ebony I have to argee with Melissia. I wasn't taking in enough calories and the weight stopped. When I upped the calories I moved again. I think your body will go in a stavation mode and hold on to every pound. Not a doctor but I don't know if this is such a good idea. You say you will be 6 months June 21, girl your 5th month ain't here yet. Just hold on Miss Super Fine you'll get where you want to be with out making your self sick.
My goodness girl!!!! "less than 20 pounds from hitting 100"???? Don't you realise that your doing amazing?? Come on now, be glad for the weight you lost and don't mess it up by trying to starve-your body will rebel and you will stop losing. Go have a protein shake. (have I mentioned that I love them?)
My six month anniversary is also June 21 and I am also 20 lb from 100. I was at a stand still for a while and increased protein intake and exercise and it started coming off again. Protein is so important! IF you go to liquids make sure it is HIGH IN PROTEIN! I wouldn't recommend it, but understand exactly where you are coming from. Congrats on the tremedous weight loss!!! Your body may just need a little time to "catch up" before the rest comes off!!
Hello!
My 6th month anniversary is in June and I am about 12lbs away from 100lbs. I have been thinking the same thing because my weight loss has drastically decreased. The thing is I know that I am not getting the protein or calories that I am supposed to have, I am not drinking my fluid properly and I am not exercising much so, I know this has something to do with it. I have always thought that if you dont eat much you will loose weight. I have been so discouraged that I was going to start back on liquids but, now after reading this I will talk to my Nut. I will see her on 21st June. Make sure you also talk to your Nut and maybe we will be singing praises for the increase in our weight loss.
