Topic: Life is looking up
Hello everyone,
Ron and I just got back from Lawton Fort Sill, OK as our son graduated from Army boot camp. We where only there three days, not long enough to enjoy the State but it was a beautiful State. People are so out going and friendly.
Ron took off last week and has been forcing me to eat and getting me out of bed and I'm feeling so much better now and now I can't turn of the eating machine but that will slow eventually. It's my body making up for lost time without any food. Got love Ron for being such a sweet husband. He'll sit across from me and tell me. Eat slow, chew slow.
Good news is that I got my old job back at Getz's Personal care home on the night shift and I start tomorrow night I can't wait as I need an outlet out of this house. I allowed myself to fall into a stupor and now it's time to crawl out and get my act together.
I go see the Endocrinologist tomorrow afternoon so that's a good thing also. Maybe he won't find anything wrong with me, maybe it was my eating knocking everything off wack.
I have been having some aching on my right side up by my cage rib so I might have to force myself into my surgeon as it might be gallbladder problems, not sure.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Labor Day weekend.
Hugs Donna
Topic: RE: mental image of your self
Hi Angy,
I have plataued too. It took me two months to lose 10 pounds. I am so close to my goal and have decided to quit worrying about losing the last 10lbs. If it comes off it comes off. As far as mental image goes. Until about a month ago I really had an issue with this. Even with people telling me I am losing too much wieght and my face getting so skinny I would look in the mirror and still see myself as the fat person I was before. One day I stood in front of the mirror in just my undies and bra and thought "girl you look good". hanging skin and saddle bag thighs and all. I have come to accept the fact that I will never be a size 12 again. I can live with that. I dont know how it happened but one day I just looked at myself in the mirror and suddenly the new me was there.

Topic: RE: Appetite Suppressant - Question
Take small steps and take them one day at a time. Set goals that you can actually achieve. For this month - set a goal of 3 pounds lost. When you reach that goal, you'll be encouraged to do more. You don't need motivation. Just do it! I hate getting on my treadmill. But I make myself do it for 30 minutes a day. I put on a favorite CD or tv show and work out. Sometimes I start to feel so good, I'll do 45 minutes to an hour. I'm so hype after working out and I don't know what to do with that energy. Increase your fluids. Cut out the fats and sweets. Focus on protein and veggies, fruits. You can do it if you put your mind to it.
