Hi, Monica!
I'm thinking of you today and hoping all goes well for you.
My husband and I are thinking of doing what you and your husband are doing with the RV life. When you're feeling better, please email me. I've got dozens of questions.

Topic: hi everyone
Hi December Crew,
So nice to see that everyone is here and doing so well, and looking FABULOUS!
I had a very busy summer and didnt check in as often as I should have and it shows on the scales. I have gained a few pounds back too.Just coming back here has encouraged me to get back to what I should be doing! I go to my plastic surgeon this tuesday to begin the procedure of having a panniculectomy. I am a little nervous but excited.I think the surgery will put me at my goal weight. Anyone else had a panniculectomy that can offer me any pre-op advice? Take care and everyone have a great week. Melinda

Hi Missy,
Great to hear your doing well. I've been thinking about you.
I can't imagine life without all this loose skin..how wonderful
it would be. Thanks for the update and take care.

Topic: PS~postop success!!!
I am exactly 1week and 2 days post op from my PS. The surgeon removed about 7 lbs of skin from my abdomen. I have a fairly larg incision about 3 inches from my belly button (which is new too). I am very pleased with the outcome so far. I got one of my drains taken out 1 day early cuz I did somthing stupid...But you will have to read my profile to hear what happened...WHAT A JOKE!
I have minimal swelling but I am having a lot of pain...Low pain tolerance!!!
I walk 2 times a day around the block to prevent me form getting blood clots or other circulatory problems. I now weigh 148 lbs whis is 12 lbs under my Surgeons goal. my goal was 150.
I see what people mean when they say PS is addicting...I'm already looking into having my arms done...I have a little rash(woo hoo) so maybe my insurance will cover it too.
No problems so far...although i hear from many that Gastric Bypass Patients are more proned to getting a seroma anytime after their PS. I wear my binder 24/7 as tight as a i can...so atleast it won't happen right now. I am also getting a lipo in a box from www.lipoinabox.com Which is a girdle specifically for PS. Check it out. You can even use it to control your loose hanging skin.
I can not believe it will be 2 years come December 29th...it has gone by so fast. We should celebrate life everyday and make the month of December a MEMORY in our HONOR.
Have a great weekend!

Topic: RE: Flu
My husband swears you can still get the flu even after flu shots. Maybe I should start getting.

Topic: RE: Flu
I hope you are feeling better soon. I really haven't been sick since WLS. I used to get sick all the time before I had surgery, but I am now getting the flu shots and it has helped me to stay healthy. WLS in Canada qualifies candidates for free flu shots, so I take full advantage of it.
Best wishes.

WOW Monica. I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers on the 25th. I am so excited for you. If you ever make a trip to my area, let's arrange to meet for a coffee. You are an inspiration.
Thanks for sharing your musings with us.
