Topic: Had Scope

Had a scope done yesterday to see if there is a stricture . When I woke up in recovery there was a jar on the side of my bed the nurse said it was a stitch . Anyone have this happen I am really scared right now

Hi Kelly, Sorry to hear about your marriage. I'm sure life has some new adventures in store for you. I don't think any of us stay the same after surgery, as we were before. The improved physical appearance has provided me with greater self-esteem. I, too, find myself more independent. On the inside, I am the same. Same heart and same caring style. The difference is that now I apply some of my caring to myself. I believe this is a good thing. In the words of Jawaharial Nehu:

"We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure. There is no end to the adventures that we can have, if only we seek them with our eyes open" To that.... May you seek new adventures, with your eyes open, in 2007 !

Thanks Kelly, I am starting to get really excited. Counting down the hours now. LOL Only 13 hours of work left. (Today - 6 and Tomorrow - 7) LOL

Thanks Mary I've been so busy getting ready for the holidays, that I haven't been online much. Tomorrow is my last day at my current job. Thursday is my laser pre-ops and Saturday is my laser surgery day. I start the new job on December 27th, right after the holidays. I am so looking forward to all of these exciting new changes. Happy Anniversary !! We share the same surgery date. This surgery has been a huge life-saver for me too. No more sleep apnea, narcolepsy or hypertension. I'm still working hard to lose another 22 pounds, but I feel great It's been a great two years. Best wishes for many more years of health & happiness. Karen G
