HI Donna, Sorry to hear about your Aunt. I wish you all a safe trip. I am doing fine. As of last Monday I am 28 weeks preggo. Baby and mommy are doing fine. I had a glucose test two weeks ago and it came back fine. I was so scared I was going to dump. We are just getting the house ready for little Cody. We need everything. At the first of January Bill and I joined a gym. We have been going 4 to 5 times a week right after work. I do 30 minutes on the treadmill and 10 to 15 minutes each on the bike and the elliptical trainer. It makes me feel so good going. I have gained some weight which is expected. After Cody gets here I am getting back on track. It was good to see you posting. I check this board at least twice a day. LOL ((((hugs)))) Diana Due date 04/21/07 ~ Cody

This board got dead I'm doing fine and have not been on the board for such a long time. Shame on me I have gained a few pounds back myself. I went from around 155lbs to 163lbs and what a difference when putting on my size 10 pants. I cant get them on but feel it. I have my throwing up under control for a while now, no more of that going on I found myself eating all day today but I'm dealing with a Aunt that is dying in Canada. STRESS My sister, myself and her daughter are trying to fly and see her before she passes from her cancer. My sister and her daughter will be coming from Alaska and me from PA. Now our trip is on hold until we hear back from our Aunt as she much have chemo I know she won't be up to company when sick from the chemo. Other wise I'm still and breathing. How is everyone else doing? Hugs Donna

I am pretty sure God told me to get on Obesityhelp today for a reason. There was a person on the main forum 2 years out with weight gain and something made me come here. I am having a terrible time getting off this extra 10 pounds, I am FREAKING out. I am never going back there to the pit of morbid obesity. I have worked too hard for this. The only things I have changed are stopped doing cardio from this summer cause of the ice and snow and maybe I have increased my carbs a little too much. I am trying to increase the cardio and decrease the carbs. About the time I gained 7 pounds I started having hotflashes and no periods. I thought maybe I was going into menopause but now all of a sudden I have gained 3 more and started having periods again. Can hormones and/or thyroid be doing all this? I really haven't changed my eating habits that much over the last 6 months. It surely is depressing but I am so grateful that today I made the effort to get on line and seek out help. Thank you all for being honest about your trials. I am glad you are here.

Hey Susan, I'm so glad to see you here, I've been lurking. I'm just like you I've gained 15 pounds and I'm going crazy. I'm having problems with my thyroid again and I'm also anemic so I know what you mean about chewing the ice. I really need to get myself back on track and get this weight off before it gets out of hand. Take care, Loni

Hi all!!! Been too long since I have been around. I'm so busy with my new job, and since it is hockey season, that takes what little time I do have. Y'all don't feel alone on the weight gain side.... Since I started my new job on November 6th, right before the holidays, I have also gained about 13 lbs.... I've gotten so frustrated with the scales, I try not to get on them much anymore. One of the few things that doesn't bother my stomach is Hersheys Kisses... I wish I would have never found this out, but I did. And I love them..... When my current stash is gone, thats it..... I have got to get back on track. I absolutely refuse to buy any bigger clothes....Ya know, before surgery, 13 lbs never made a difference in my clothes.... Now 5 lbs makes a difference. I've just decided that I will wear my clothes a little tight and uncomfortable to remind myself of what I need to do. My other big thing I am dealing with now is my constant need to chew/crunch on ice. I'd rather do that instead of eat, but I now have to deal with my teeth hurting. I know that I am probably still anemic since my 2 GI Bleeds, but I just love my ice. I think it is time to go back to the toothpast like Sensidyne. Maybe that will help until I can get my blood count back up. Y'all try to keep your spirits up, and I will do the same. Lets all get back to basics!!! Hugs, Susan

Hi, I got on this board tonight for the same reason. it has been 2 years and I have gained 10 pounds just lately. I have been really beating myself up about it and feeling really bad about myself. It is good to know I am not the only one and to also confess that I know it is because I am not eating right. Did anyone see that post about the rules of the pouch? I have never heard of that but it was interesting to read.
