Congrats on your success.
I've been plodding along slowly since surgery, and finally hit -100 pounds lost from my all-time high in July of '04. I've been on a plateau for around 3 months on the scale (although I was shrinking for the early part of that time), and am really eager to get working on the 30-50 lbs I still want to lose.

12/29/04 was my one year anniversary from wls. I've lost a total of 108 lbs. altogether. I had a 4 month plateau and only lost a few pounds during that time. All of a sudden the pounds are flying off! So any of you plateauers out there just keep on doing the right thing and it will come off.

146 since surgery. for a total of 179 since first Doctor's Consultation. I still have 34 to go... for my goal.

She likes the money, what can I say. She likes to buy her own things. I'm not going to start buying her things she don't need.
The matter is cleared up and closed. We talked it out and she admitted she was wrong. She did not destroy the check when she found it but put it in with her other check to be deposited in the bank. We are not asking for a dime of it back
It could have slipped her mind but you have to know my mother in-law to understand why I got upset over it.

Donna,
I haven't posted here in a long time but this one really needed my response.
I think you are wrong. To give a check to your MIL for Christmas is saying here's something I didn't want to be bothered shopping or getting you something personal. I'm sorry but I lost my boyfriends Mom last year and I would have loved to bought her something personal for Christmas if she was around. Checks/Gift Cards/Money are given to young teenages but for a MIL a personal gift could help with your relationship with her. Anyways, just my thoughts. Just an extra note at 80 years old it could have slipped her mind and just put the check in I guess I would have had questioned without blaming her what happened or at least have your husband asked what happened.
