has anyone had there procedure considered a failure?
If so what were you told?
Were there any options your doctor had for you? and if so what were they?
My Gp told me about getting a revision( if that is the term) done. They go in thru the throat and add a few more stitches to your stomach.
Has any one heard of this or had it done?
I have had medical problems unrelated to the surgery and the med have made me gain 1/2 my weight back and I am on my way to getting all my medical problems back that the gastric bypass cured
1- High BP
2- high Cholesterol
3- back pains
4-arthritis
5 the most worrisome that made my decision easy to have the surgery Diabetes

Topic: RE: 12/04 GB Encourager
Hello All - I had my lapband placed in December 2004 - I had it removed in September 2006 after battling a raging infection - seems I had a perferation and then it healed but wreaked havoc before it did. I started at 302 - went down to 225 and I am currently at 252. After all I've been through - - if I could get another lapband, I'd do it in a hearbeat! Take Care Everyone!
Topic: RE: Question
I have been reading up on the 5 DPT and it sounds like a good way to get back on track but I haven't tried it yet. I started one monday morning and did fine on all liquids but was invited to lunch with friends and blowed it. I believe two days on liquids would not be too bad with protein drinks!
Thanks,
Deana
Topic: Psychological Changes
I am a psychotherapist who had a DS in December,2004. I am interested in conceptualizing the psychological changes that accompany and or are a result of the surgery. Besides the obvious sense of well being from loosing all that weight, what else have people noticed? What changes have occured in your relationships? How has your life improved? Has it improved? Do tell. I have by the way lost 200 lbs and had no trouble keeping it off. The body image is still at times an issue for me. Sometimes I forget I am thin and impose old ways of thinking and feeling on myself. Would love to hear what others have experienced.
Topic: RE: Question
I've looked at it and have never had the nerve to try it. I think the first two days worried me also. I think it looks like a goog idea. Let me know if you try it and how you do.

Topic: Question
Hello All,
Thank you Loni and Cute & Sexy Donna for the responses I got on my previous post. I try to stay on track but it's so hard.
This question is for everybody. Has any of you try doing the 5 DPT?

I know someone that tried it and she lost 4 lbs. I don't know if I could do it because the first 2 days are all liquids.
What do you think about it?
Thanks,
