Topic: Today's Rambling and Happenings...
I've found out that it's easier for me to not snack if I plan out my meals either the night before or in the morning before the day begins. It keeps me on track because then I have a "plan/goal" for the day. I'm a pretty goal oriented person (dang my roommate is cooking waffles and the smell just drifted to my room). Today I'm going to do an exercise video because it's way to cold to walk outside!! Woah... BRRRRRRR I've planned out my foods with fit day... like every day. Right now I have an apartment in DeKalb, but I am working in Monmouth (about three hours away) so I only make it to my apartment once a week or so. When I'm here I tend to eat out more often because I don't stock my cupboards because I'm rarely here. I decided to try to include that in my meal plan for the day... we'll see how it goes... So here's my food for the day... Cal Fat Carb Protein 2 Boiled Eggs - 154 11 1 13 1/2 cup Spaghetti with Sauce and one Slice of Rye Bread - 115 2 21 4 68 1 13 2 1 Orange and 2 ounces of 2% Cheese 85 0 21 2 160 12 0 14 1/2 Roast Beef Sandwhich (Arbys) and 1/2 cup broccoli 185 7 14 15 22 0 4 2 1/2 Roast Beef Sandwhich (Arbys) and 1/2 cup broccoli (not a typo I live for leftovers) 185 7 14 15 22 0 4 2 2 Cups Microwave Popcorn 80 4 10 2 That makes my grand total for the day... dun dun dun Calories - 1075 Fat - 45 Carbs - 101 Protein - 70 Usually I don't have quiet so many carbs, but usually I work at a restaurant with protein readily available. All in all though not a bad day eh? Now I've gotta run to the bank and get to exercising... Good Luck.... and How is your day going to go? What did you eat?

It hasn't happened to me yet. I am still struggling to lose weight. I haven't enjoyed the same measure of success, but I haven't experienced a gain yet. I either lose a pound or two....or I stay the same weight. I cut down my weigh-ins to once a month. I find that keeps me from seeing the fluctuations that might depress me. Perhaps that might work for you, too. I am still hovering around the 190 mark. Would love to get into the 170's. Hopefully, I can get there by summer. Have a great day, Karen G

Happy Birthday !! What day is your actual birthday? Congrats on your success and your upcoming article. Way to go !! I shop the consignment and second hand stores. I find lots of nice clothes at reasonable prices. Been doing this since I started losing. I am a 12/14, but would really like to make it to size 8/10. Congrats!! Karen G

Hey gang! One year and 2 months later, and I'm still loosing! I wanted to stop by and encourage everyone, and ask RU Well? I also wanted to say hello to my December Crew, and wish everyone a wonderful March! I know, its been a while, but not many of us are into the computer these days, I see. Just been busy at my new job, PRAISE GOD, and school... well, that is always busy. Still maintaining -108, and love being a solid size 18. I want to shop 24/7, but decided that until the summer, I want all my clothes to be a size 18, and drop down to a 14-16 for the summer. This way, I won't go bankrupt! I love looking beautiful, and knowing it makes it all the more better, right? Yeah! Well, I will be celebrating my 41st birthday, and I am so happy. Join me in wishing me a happy birthday, guys! Also, I will be featured in this months I'Ndigo Magazine, in Chicago, discussiong the positive side of WLS. Is anyone experiencing water gain. I am drinking 32-48oz a day. Last week I weighed in at 175#s and 4 days later I weighed in at 189#s. That is 14 extra pounds. Now a week later I am back at 175#. I sometimes wonder if it's a problem caused by the surgery. I have heard so much negative things lately about the surgerys long term effects on a persons body. I had never had problems with water gain in the past. My legs,ankles,and especially hands were so swollen I couldnt even put on my rings!! I would appreciate any input! Thanks,Melinda

Hi Brooke, I know what you mean. I still consider myself FAT too! I kept what I called my "fat book" I made a new page for it every month with pictures and my new weight,measurements and BMI. Now when I look back at the past year I am amazed at what I see! Even though I still need to lose 35-40 pounds,I am not where I need to be BUT thank God I am no longer where I was!!!! When you get discouraged just get out those old photos and pat yourself on the back and your right it does encourage you to get back on track and make it to your goal!
