Hi - I'm doing pretty good - still maintaining between 150-160 pounds but am facing a lot of food demons the last two months - I need to loose about 18 pounds to be at goal but I am in either a size 4 or a 6 depending on the clothes..so I am doing good. I'm about ready to go talk to a PS and see what the next phase holds. 283 starting weight 156 this morning

Where do I start ????? Alot has been going on in the last 3 months.My weight is down to 242. Which is pretty good because I can eat pretty much what I want to.I just got done working a job for the boilermakers at Quad city Necular power plant and then at Braidwood necular power plant.It was nice to be one of the skinny guy on the job> I was climbing down 50 foot straight ladders 10 to 15 times a day with no problem.Can you belive that?????? Who would of thunk that!!!!!! My waist size is down to 38 from 60-62 I got turned down for my skin problems.I guess I will pay for it myself.I'm also wearing XL size shirts from 7XL shirts.Hope everyone is doing good.I will try to get on more.It was hard I was working 12 hours a day 7 days a week. Life IS GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks again Taco 458/242/220

Hi Kathy I am not able to visit our December crew very often. I just dropped by today while taking a break from homework. I am doing real well and I am so happy to hear from everyone. You look fantastic! Congratulations on your success. I broke a 3 month plateau and made onderland. Life is good since WLS. I would do it again in a heartbeat. Good to hear from you. I am sorry you are having trouble with hubby. I am out of that kind of situation and now live the single life so I have total control over what food is brought into the house. One thing you may find helpful is to find an eating routine that works for you. A couple of things to keep i mind: Dont let yourself go too many hours without a good meal or snack. The body tells us when we are needing food. If we wait too long we are more likely to make poor choices. Guilty here. Concentrate on the basics- protein first, veggies second, good whole grains third. Other carbs as a treat. Repeat to yourself over and over- "I want to be healthy and feel good. and I want to do it for ME" Get away from things when you can. Get by yourself and find something you alone enjoy. I like to read a good book, listen to music I like, and take a drive. I would love to learn to do cross stitch and country dancing. I still have many foods that make me yak if I eat too much. Sugar sends me running to the John. Fatty foods do the same but I can tolerate a little. Sometimes it is a matter of thinking "okay I can eat this, but should I?" Guilty here too. There are foods that I havent tried only because I am afraid that I CAN eat them. This message board has been my major source of support. Only those who are making this journey can understand. Outsiders may mean well at best but they don't really know what we struggle with. God Bless Sorry this was long. I hope my words are nothing but encouraging. April ended with a bang for me. I was on a 3 month plateau where I would lose one pound, maybe two one week then the next gain a pound. I fluctuated between 200 and 205 all through Feb, March and most of April. Then about three weeks ago i started losing again. On April 15 I was 201 then the following Sunday I broke 200 and was 198. This past sunday which was April 30th I weighed 190. Now I do have to attribute a good bit of this weight loss to the fact that I had a bad case of bronchitis for a week and no appetite for abt two weeks. I had a hard time getting in 1000 calories. Most days I was lucky I got in 800. I dont count my protein nectar drinks in my daily calorie count but I know I was lucky to get in 1000. I am riding high right now but I know in the next week or two I will slow back down to the normal 3-5 lbs a month if I am lucky. I would like to lose 30 more lbs. You guys are doing great. Size 12 WOW. I am in a size 16-18 in elastic waist pants. 18/20 in jeans without elastic in the waist. But I am not really complaining considering I started at size 36W. Michelle R OKC 368/190/160?

Hi Karen, Woohooo!!! Go girlie in your 3 inch heels. That is great. I have one pair of short black boots with heels. I never wore heels before WLS. That was one of my goals. Thanks for posting Diana

I lost 3 pounds. I am losing very slow. 1-4 pounds per month. I still have 36 pounds to go, to reach my goal weight. I, too, am in size 12. I have lost 108 pounds in total. I exercise everyday and still count calories, fat, carbs and protein levels. I am enjoying the new me. Enjoying being able to be more active. Last weekend, I danced at my dart banquet.... in 3 inch heels. !! Thats a WOW for me. Have a great day, too !!!! Karen G 294 / 186 / 150
