Changes in my life
I had to make a very hard decision and that was to give my two week notice and so my last day will be May 19.
The night shift is effecting my health as I can't adjust. I'm not getting my sleep, my water in take and food in take so I'm sick more often with throwing up, cramping really bad and feeling down right crappy. My husband told me I MUST give it up as I'm killing HIS wife. I cried all Thursday morning but I have now eccepted the fact that it's for the best "my health" I'll regain my health back and start looking for another job. Sometimes the extra money is not worth it.
Another change in my life is having to give my parrot Alex up as it's effecting my husbands allergies. When it rains it pours Today is my last day with Alex and it's going to be hard to hand him over but i have to think about my husbands health also.
I did how ever find a nice lady on OH who is willing to take Alex for me and it's nice as we can keep in touch plus we both had WLS . HOW COOL!! I'm also looking for a home for my Border Collie as my husbands allergies are effected by her also. If anyone lives in PA and is interested let me know.

It's nice to have a family here on OH that you can talk, share and vent when need be. Thanks for listening.
Hugs Donna
Thanks Liz for the hugs and kisses. Your so sweet
That's what my husband and I where talking about today. I'll find a better job, might not be as much pay but better for my health.
I also feel good about giving my bird to someone on OH Of course Alex is upset that I moved everything down stairs

Donna,
Those are some tough decisions you've had to make. I know you have been struggling with your job situation for a long time. Best of luck in your job search. I'm glad to hear that Alex will be close by for you. I hope you find a wonderful home for your Border Collie - she is beautiful.
Take care,
Mary
I am sorry to hear about your life changes. A lot to happen in a small amount of time. But they say that change is good. I am sure that something good will come of this. I am very glad that you were able to find a good home for Alex. Good luck on keeping the puppy. Dogs are great but not everyone can handle all types of dogs. My daughter has asthma and that makes a decision to get a dog laying in the back. Your dog is just beautiful! I hope if you can't keep her that she will find a good home.

Oh Donna (((( HUGS)))) I know you must be going through some emotional turmoil over these lifestyle changes. I can't imagine having to give away my pets. They are like my children and I don't think I could handle it very well. My heart goes out to you. I hope you find a good home for your border collie. If I didn't live so darn far away, I'd volunteer. Of course, I already have 3 dogs and a cat, but they are one big happy family. Perhaps you should post your request to the PA forum.
In regards to quitting your job.... I think you are making a good decision. Shift work is hard on the body. You will find a fantastic replacement position and it will all work out for the best, in the long run. Don't worry about this. I just know you will be fine. A special opportunity is waiting for you.
Many blessings.

Thanks Karen for the support.
It was hard to hand over my Parrot Alex but the lady emailed me and said he is actually doing really well in adjusting for the first day. He ate without any problems and was chirping and cackling with her and her two children. He'll get lots of attention
I did post to the PA forum and that's how I found a home for Alex.
At first it was hard to give up my job but like my husband told me. Your not only killing yourself but your killing my wife. He said take sometime off, regain my health backand start looking again for a better job. Monday thru Friday job ONLY!! I need to start eating better, drinking my water and getting my sleep onca again.
