Checking in....
Lately, there isn't much activity on this board, so I thought I would at least drop in and say "HELLO". I guess everyone is busy, out enjoying their new lifestyles.
The weather is great up here in Toronto today. Sunny and 20 Celcius.. about 68 Farenheit. I am planning a noon-hour walk to the local park. 20 minutes there, 20 minutes back to the office and 20 minutes to consume some cottage cheese with splenda and cinnamon. Hmmmm
Hope this posting finds you all happy, healthy and enjoying life to the fullest.
Many blessings,
Karen G
Hello Karen,
Your weather sounds great. It's in the 80's here.
My a/c keeps kicking on. I hate to see my next
electric bill.
The last two nights I have gone walking with my
support group. I really enjoy it. The time goes by
so fast since we are talking. We walk for an hour.
It was good hearing from you. Enjoy your walk
and lunch. I made some chicken salad last night
and I'm eating some for lunch later on.
(((Hugs)))

80 degrees would be perfect for me. I love hot weather. I only run the A/C to protect my dogs from overheating. Me, I could live in 80 degrees with A/C and not complain. I've been cold since WLS and it hasn't improved yet. The only thing that heats me up is exercise, which is really okay, it keeps me moving.
Hope you had a great lunch.

Hi Karen, I am coming out of lurk mode to post. I am enjoying the springtime here in NYC it is 72 degrees. I will take a nice long walk at lunch and grab a salad. Trying to jump start my weight loss again, at a standstill.
I am enjoying every moment that life has to offer, I hope everyone on this December board does the same.
Have a great day

It's wonderful down here in sunny Florida. It's starting to get hot though. I started to run my A/C about 3 weeks ago. I live in Florida and hate to sweat! But. I am alot better now that I have lost alot of weight. I don't think I could handle this heat being thee size I used to be! Hope everyone had a nice Easter! Take care all,
Tricia
Hi Tricia.
Sorry but my post to Fran, went to you instead. It was a blonde, newfie moment. LOL
Florida... my favourite state. I love sun and heat. I spent my honeymoon in Florida at Orlando and Daytona. I've been back many times. For 18 years my Dad lived in St. Petersburg. He moved back to Canada in 2005. My last trip down there was in spring of 2003.
If I could pick up my house and drop it in Florida, I would be in heaven. I have a pool and a hottub that have to be winterized and unused for 6 months of the year. If I was down there, I would get much more use out of them. Up here, it will be late May before I can open the pool. Although I do still use the hottub in the winter.
Thanks for checking in. Wishing you much sunshine and success.

Hi Fran.
Sounds like your weather is pretty close to ours. I had a walk at lunch, it was beautiful. I'm also trying to jump start my stalled weight loss.
Today's menu is 1072 calories consisting of 27 grams of fat, 55 carbs and 148 grams of protein. Lunch was 1/2 cup cottage cheese with splenda and cinnamon. Dinner is a chicken breast with 1/2 steamed mixed veggies. I have already had two protein shakes, for a combined total of 70 grams of added protein.
Tonight, I am planning a 1/2 hour bike ride and 1/2 hour workout on my weights. I keep losing weight, but only 1-4 pounds per month. I would like to see one week where I could lose more than one pound.
Summers coming and these last 36 pounds are really haunting me. I think about the weight and my food plans way too much. I post my daily menu planner on my office wall, complete with the exact times that I am planning to eat each item on the daily planner. Is that extreme? I just can't think of much else these days. I am so looking forward to reaching goal.
Thanks for checking in.... hope to see more of your posts soon.

Hi Karen, your menu sounds fine. No you are not extreme. I find that when I don't plan my food menu, I tend to eat crappy. I really need to lose 20 lbs so, I am doing protein and more protein and keeping my carbs between 20-30 grams per day. I am planning to get myself a personal trainer to help me with my trouble areas until I can afford PS.
Keep up the good work and you will lose those last pounds.
I will try and post more often.
Enjoy the rest of your day.
