Still losing

Wow - this is quite the journey. For the last 6 weeks or so I haven't lost any weight. I bounced around, up and down a couple of pounds; which would be great if I was ready for maintenance. I wasn't ready for maintenance, but I was beginning to think that my body was. Today I was down a 1 1/2 pounds and into the 170s. I am so excited. Mary 302/178.5/1?? 5'6"

Way to go Mary, I know that the same thing happened to me also and it can be so frustrating. Keep it up and you will make it to where you want to be. Take care, Loni

Hi Mary, I know what you mean about bouncing up and down. I was at 178 for a week before I announced it. The next day I bounced up to 179. The following day I was back at 178. The next day I was 177 then the next morning I was back at 178. It's driving me Congratulations on being down 1 1/2 pounds !!! (((hugs))) Diana

Diana, The bouncing around certainly can drive you crazy. On the bright side, it is good training for us for maintenance. We won't freak out when the stale goes up a pound or two because we'll not it is normal fluctuation. Just remind me about that when I get to maintenance. Mary

Mary--- Seriously understand where you are comming from...... I was stuck at 185 for weeks... and have slowly started the downward progression again. I am at 180 this morning-- but who knows if I will stay there, go up or drop again. I am trying to not let the scales be my life, but it is hard..... Guess we all just need to make healthy eating choices...... no matter what! Congrats and hope you reach all your goals. Jane

Jane, Thanks. I agree that it is hard not to let the scales be your life - I have the same problem. I hope these little stales I have teach me patience to hold on to my goal. I'd love to get to a normal bmi weight which would be about another 24 pounds. We'll see. Take care, Mary
