OK, what happened to everyone on here?? What everyone lose all the weight they wanted and now are to good for the December board I'm doing as best as I can be doing. Still running tests to determine what caused Ron's bleeding. Go for some more tests next week and if that don't show anything then it's on to another test. Other wise Ron is feeling OK and no more bleeding. The new night shift job is coming along OK but I must start forcing myself to sleep more and get more water in. My eating issues are so so. I seem to do wonderful with my eating but noticed that when I get upset over things I tend to get sick to my stomach but someone on the main board suggested that when I know I might have a stressful day or feel my nerves on edge to only drink fluids and not solid food which is a wonderful idea It's funny how our whole system changes once we have WLS. I don't regret having this surgery but I'm learning that we must learn all over again how to treat our new pouch and what will and won't work and I guess that's what I'm trying to do with this throwing up. I don't throw up every day but I do throw up from time to time. Sometimes it might be once a week, maybe two or three times a week and then I can go for a few weeks even a month without throwing up. It's not always brought on by eating to fast or not chewing good enough either, nerves can bring on the vomiting. My girfriend told me to stop throwing up or else it can become a habit as her cousin had WLS and would eat until she was so full and then force herself to throw up so she could stuff her pouch again. I said WHAT!! Do you think I'm forcing myself to throw up? HELL NO. I do from time to time use my finger only because it's easier on my pouch then to wait until my pouch builds up with that bile in my pouch and then it really hurts when I throw up but other wise I try and let my pouch handle it. Anyway enough of the bad stuff here In all honesty the throwing up has just become part of my life and it's no different then brushing my teeth every day. I know it's going to happen from time to time and so be it but I try not to eat to much and try VERY hard to chew well so it won't happen and I'm working on keeping my stress level down. Life goes on and I'm a skinner more happier person for this surgery. I'm holding steady at 154lbs but not complaining as I'm in a size 8 pants, tight 8 pants but they still fit and that's all that counts plus my husband likes that tight look On a good note. I'm thinking of treating myself on my birthday to getting Permanent Eyeliner done on the upper and lower eyes. I had it done some years back but never got it touched up and I never got it dark enough. I know call me nuts but I'm the wild and adventures kind of girl http://permanentcosmeticsbyannd.com/ Hope life is treating everyone well. Stop in and share what's going on in your life with the family Hugs and kisses for the whole family Donna 338/154

I still check the board everyday. I don't post often. I can't really relate to your current trouble, as I haven't been sick since WLS. Perhaps if I had more problems eating or keeping my food down, I would have a better loss. Oh well. It's just not meant to be, for me. I'm still working the pouch. Watching and counting every morsel I ingest. Hoping for that last 40 pounds to drop off sometime this year. I hope they figure out Ron's problems and get it under control. Have you ever seen a herbalist or a naturopathy? My cousin had a brain tumour that they told her was "inoperable" and "terminal". She say a naturopathy who put her on sharks cartlidge treatments. The tumour disappeared in 6 months and that was nearly 4 years ago. Needless to say, my cousin is now fine and she swears that the sharks cartlidge is what saved her. Perhaps some alternative treatments might help Ron? Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers, Karen G

HEY KAREN Be thankful you don't deal with throwing up. It's not a nice thing to deal. Being that Ron is chinese his family is into natural things like herbs and not what but right now Ron is leaving it in the hands of the Doctors. His mother almost killed him once with using herbs on him as he has asthma and gets bronchitis from time to time and she kept him on herbs for weeks until he finally had to drag himself to the Doctor and the Doctor said he should have been in weeks before to have this problem taken care of. Donna, At first everyone was posting every day. I looked back a few months and I think maybe that once we stopped loosing so fast discouragement has set in or maybe everyone just thinks all the loss is over. I myself have been at the same weight for 5 months. Of course I'm not gaining so thats good. Who would have thought we would have come so far. A lady at my childrens school didn't recognize me last week. Wow! It's been quite a while since I've gotten that reaction!! I thought everyone had seen me but I guess that lady hadn't. It would be nice if we could contact those oldies that used to be so frequent here, and invite them back for all of their stories, successes and hopefully not failures. I wonder how we could do that? I hope hubby is getting better..... Judy

Judy, Everyone needs a big dose of realty check here if they are discouraged because their weight loss has slowed. We all went in knowing that we have our "GOLDEN YEAR" and once that's over we all must work towards losing the rest are be happy where we sit with our weight. We are here for support and if some of us are not happy at our weight then come out and say it and get the support you need. We might not be right next store to each other and able to run over and smack each other up side the head and say. GET MOVING AND LET'S LOSE THOSE POUNDS but we are on this forum to listen and give support. Nobody should never be a shamed to admit what's going on and nobody should NEVER criticize anyone. It's the same with complications. We all went in knowing that some of us might have complications. I don't call my throwing up a complication because I don't throw up on a daily bases or every time I eat and it's not caused from a stricter or blockage. Some of my throwing up has been my own fault. Eating to fast, not chewing well enough and I have learned to slow down *thanks Mary * and am doing much better but now I noticed when I let myself get stressed or upset I throw up with or without food on my pouch. Now it's another issue I must deal with. My husband is working with me and telling me to relax, stop letting everything get up under my skin. I come out here and share with you all in hopes that maybe someone else might say HEY DONNA, OVER HERE I have that same problem or issue I'm dealing with. Only way to invite everyone back is go on each State forum board and call all December 2004 babies home Hit the main board also. Anyway Donna climbing down off her soap box. Donna 338/154

Hey Donna, I pop in from time to time, but I was never a hang on the board type person. I do check the Singles board almost every day, but it has many more people. I also never really got sick from surgery so I can not really say much about the throwing up, but I have forced myself to throw up a couple of times to make myself feel better, although it really does not help. I think as long as you are managing your tool you are ok. Sorry about your husband... I will certainly pray for him. I would love to be down to 150. I am still hanging out around 180... in a size 14. I would like to loose 30 more pounds, but not sure that is possible. I like you have started eating more and working out less... It just seems so hard to get motivated these days.... Dark and cold early in the morning and dark and cold when I get home from work. Of course I hope that it gets better when the time changes and everything. It will get better--- Just remember we are much better today than we were a year ago! Jane

Hi Donna, Things are going great down here in Texas. The weather is so nice. I'm still trying to join the double century club. I'm so close I can taste it. I'm loving my size 12's. My support group leader has permanent make up. She loves it. It only takes her a few minutes to get ready for work. That would be cool. I hope they find out what it wrong with your DH. I will continue to keep him in my prayers. Take care, Diana 379/180/?

YOU GO on getting to that double century club Give the rest of us something to work towards, not meaning that we will all get to the double century club but might make us all towards that goal we want Hugs Donna 338/154

Donna, It has been awfully quiet around here. I check the boards every day, but don't post that much because I usually don't have anything new or exciting to say. I am still lagging behind everyone else here in the weight loss. When I went to the doctor a few weeks ago I had gained 6 pounds since the last time. So depressing! The doctor thinks the opening between my pouch and stomach might be too big so the food is not staying in my pouch long enough for me to feel full. They won't do anything about it at this point though, so I am on my own with the dieting again. But I have finally joined a gym and have tried going back to a very low carb diet. I have been to the gym every day this week (I know it's only Wednesday, but I'm still happy about it). I even did a spinning class today - I never even would have imagined doing that a year ago. My butt is killing me too. The good news is I have lost all 6 of those pounds since I saw the doctor 2 weeks ago. Finally I lost something again. Now I'm back to 35 more to goal. I know there is a light at the end somewhere. I'm glad to hear your husband is doing better. I hope everything turns out alright. You are doing amazing with your weight loss. Congratulations! You need to post some pics of you in those size 8 pants! Good luck with the eyeliner. I'm way too chicken to have that done, but I love the idea of it. Melissa
