OT - Please hug your kids today!!
Hi everyone. This post has nothing to do with WLS, but I just felt the need to tell everyone. My best friend's 5 year old son was killed in a freak accident on Sunday. The family is devasted and her 9 year old daughter is just freaking out. I got mad at my son yesterday and started yelling at him for being bad. Than I took a minute and realized how lucky I am to have him here. No matter how bad my kids can be sometimes, I just thank God that I still have them. This horrible accident has really made me appreciate my children more. I hope everyone can just give their kids an extra hug today and try to enjoy some time with them. You never know when it will end.
Sorry for such a depressing post. It's just really making me appreciate things more and try not to stress about the little things so much. I hope somebody else will feel this way too. Maybe something good will come out of Gage's death. There has to be some reason this sweet little boy is not with us anymore.

Melissa,
That is certainly not a depressing post, but a loving mother post. Your friends son will be soo missed by you and his family and community.
Over the years having foster and adoptive children in our home it is very humbling to know that they need that family care and love so badly. I'm sure that even though your little kiddo knows just what button to push to get to Mommy, he also knows that his family adores him... And Im sure Gage knew that too. I'm so sorry for your loss and hurt. All our Love, Judy May all the sweet watch over your family
I am so very sorry for your lose. It is so tragic when children die. There is just an empty place in our hearts when this happens. Please give my sympathy to the family and all the friends. I will say a prayer to help in their healing process.
I am afraid when my children were little I didn't appreciate them like I should have. Now they are grown and I miss the days of them being little. They have turned out very well and I am thankful for that. I do hug them every chance I get and Thank the Lord for allowing me to be a part of their lives.
Good luck, you have a tremendous job ahead of you helping your friend through this time. I wish you strength and wellness.
Cindy G.
