Memories -100 ago
Wow... Do you remember where you were 1 year ago? Not able to eat, with over 1,000 questions for others, as well as for OURSELVES!
Looks like we made it! It has not only been 1 year since we had surgery... but 1 year since the time we changed our lives forever!
Finally, I have hit -100 pounds, teetering between -100 and -103, still, and I haven't worked out yet! My boyfriend finally put up my TredClimber and I'll start my Bally's workout consistantly, when I return from Spain. I am sure that will kick me past -100 forever!
So, I had my 1 year Anniversary which was 12/20/05. My 1 year appointment is on Wednesday, 12/28, and I can only hope that I can stay -100, for that at least! I am sure my Doctor, Dr. Cahill, will be pleased, and his goal for me was -140... my personal goal was -100, or anything to put me is a size 16. I am in a solid size 18, and am EXTREMELY pleased with myself. I haven't had any health problems to speak of... not even a cold! I eat just fine, and haven't dumped for months!
Wow, what memories.... makes me want to cry!
But I wont! I'm not done yet! I feel wonderful, and am tearful to read how many of you have come so far... we all have!
No matter if we have lost, or made it to OUR goals or not... we have changed a part of ourselves, that can't return.
As long as we remember that we are not who we were, we can continue to be inspired to go forth in our healthy beginnings. Yes, it is the beginning, of ANOTHER year!
So, always remember where you have come from, never returning to that point, but striving to become what we should always be!
Ourselves, regardless... better, stronger... liter and healthier!!!!!

Hi Vera!!
Wow!! Huge congratulations to you! You've come a long way, and you have a lot to be proud of! You have always stood out in my mind as a true leader/supporter of all on this board. I, for one, am thankful you are here!!
Thanks for the words of inspiration -- I am going to print them out and hang them on my desk!
Hugs,
Christine

Hi Miss Vera,
I am so happy to see your post. I was a little tied up the past couple of months between my son Brian's Thyroglossal Duct Cyst (the surgery for which is being repeated in February-so say a prayer that we get it ALL this time!) and my school papers and finals! Ugh-then I couldn't get on the site because of my username (not anyone's fault but my own) I haven't been on in so long that I forgot how to get in.
I have to say that you and all of the December crew have gotten me to where I am. I know that I have neglected all of you for lack of time, but please let me tell you from the bottom of my heart. I love you all. I am blessed to have gone through this journey with you and I am going to try to be here for you more often too. I'll never forget where we were a year ago.
I am so happy for your successes and I am giving you credit for helping me reach my goal too.
Please have a wonderful, safe trip to Spain and I hope that this New Year brings forth blessings to all, especially you Miss Vera.
Love,
Fran Crouch
