One Year...Are you at your Desired Wt?
I wanted to be at 200 pounds lost at my one year anniversary or at the end of the year. I am not even close to that. I have lost about 171 to 174 pounds depending on the day. I know it could be more if I exercised. That is one area I hope to improve on in 2006.
As far as the eating goes, I find that I can eat a lot of "normal" foods. Wht amazes me is that I can stretch it out over longer periods of time than I could a year ago. For example, last Thursday or so I bought a regular size bag of M&Ms when I was out shopping. Anyways, I finished up the bag this today. A year ago the bag would have been emptied by the time I was out the store parking lot.
I am amazed at how much I am able to be conscious of what I am eating and what the aftereffects are. So, yes, even though I sometimes wish I could do this on my own, I am grateful for the opportunities the surgery has afforded me.
