Change in my hours
Well folks I'm happy to report I got the night shift starting January 23rd.
Some people might ask me if I'm nuts wanting to work from 10pm until 6am and the answer is NO!! I'll be getting more money at night plus I hate getting up at 4am and I'm still tired when I pull into the driveway at work.
What does darling husband think. Well he is not happy about it but we need the extra money and I was raised that you do what ever it takes to make ends meet.
I'm excited but a little scared of gaining my weight back working nights but I'll just have to keep myself more active doing other things. In all honesty you can stay pretty busy working in Assistant living on any shift if you find things to do and that's what I plan on doing.

Congrats on the new shift Donna! I am not a morning person either so afternoons or midnights works best for me too... But right now I work days (go figure!)... As you said, when you need the money you do what you gotta do to make ends meet...
You'll be fine and am sure you can manage to keep the weight off too... I am sure doing that sort of work will keep you plenty busy... Best of luck to ya hon!

It is less stress but we have some that like to wander as they have Alzheimer's so one guy will try and leave as he thinks he must get to work or go home to his wife. It's sad but we are there to protect and love them.
I just love my job with all my heart and I'm so glad I went for it. I kept tellnig my husband they won't hire me and sure as **** they called two days later It was the best move I ever made in my life besides getting my WLS. Now I'm trying to push myself into maybe going back to school. I keep telling myself I'm to old "45 years old"
I still plan on visiting my residents in the day time as the other girls that work the night shift don't really know the residents as they are sleeping when they arrive.
