HELP..KIDNEY STONES

Has anyone had a problem with kidney stones after wls? I am 11 months out and have had 3 incidents of kidney stones. I try to keep hydrated, but they keep coming back. I have been hospitalized 5 times for them and had 2 surgeries. I do not take calcium suppliments. My surgeon doesn't have any suggestions as how to avoid them. Please help..

I had to deal with a kidney stone about 2 months post op. I know there are still 2 more stones hanging out in my right kidney, but they haven't taken a notion to move as of yet. I'm just waiting, I know it's coming. Not sure what to tell you about them other than, I can surely sympathize with ya. Hugs, Susan

I passed a kidney stone two weeks ago-my first which was an inch from my bladder, and the doctor said I had another one in my kidney. Talk about pain! I read the link that Donna provided and it doesn't look good for post WLS people. I need to ask my surgeon about the calcum tablets I am taking and also it says in that article that coffee, chocolate, nuts, and meat can cause kidney stones-all foods that I have been eating lately!
