So anything you guys can suggest on the above, I would like to hear it. Dont' be soft with me, please. No, I haven't exercised, but must start back, now that my back is ok. No, don't drink my 64 oz of water... can I? Yes, I snack. Yes, I drink my protein shake 1 per day, about 35g to 45g, depending on what is on sale ....should I go up to 2? Yes/No I take my vitamins.... each day??? Well, sometimes. This is the reality of loosing weight, guys. We get there and forget where we have been. So REMIND ME! Please! Waiting for encouragement! Vera, Needing Encouragement, Fast! Thanks guys! Yeah, I miss you too, but later for that stuff, ok... I in deep do do here!

Vera, Based on your questions - I think you know what to do Exercise If you are physically able to - yes, you should be exercising. It is not able beneficial physically but mentally also. I have started running and I still get teary eyed at the send of accomplishment I feel. It is amazing what I can do compared to a year ago. Water I also struggle with getting my water in - but you know that you need to. In fact, I am going to get some right now. - I'm back - This is from one of my favorite websites for information: www.headbattles.com "Water is very beneficial for our hard working kidneys as long as it is safe and clean with all the high protein we now eat it helps the kidneys function under less stress and it is great for constipation, bathes cells, aids in fluid and electrolyte balance, maintains pH balance, transports molecules and cells through out the body. Water is also a major component of our blood, which carries oxygen and nutrients to the tissues and is responsible for maintaining cells in working order." Snacks/Protein Drinks I don't think snacking is the worse thing in the world. I generally have one snack a day and one protein drink a day. You have to be honest and look at how often you are snacking and what you are eating when you snack and determine if it is hurting your efforts. I think the protein drinks are important. They is a lot of debate around this topic. I myself have been trying to get in 2 a day; but I haven't been very successful. Vitamins Vera - this is the scary one to me. You HAVE to take your vitamins and calcuim each and every day. There is no way you can eat enough to get in everything you need. And then there is the malabsoption issue. Whatever you do - please take your vitamins. People have all types of problems from bone loss to vision loss due to not taking their vitamins. Also, make sure you are going for your regular blood test to ensure you identify any problem areas early. Vera - you have done great. I think we when all get frustrated when the weight loss starts to slow down that we need to remember how far we have come. Take care, Mary 302/189/1??

Your right. She is answering her own questions. We are all adults and know the rules of the pouch. I'm guilty of not enough water so I'm pushing the water now. I'm also guilty of not eating right and I have started to FORCE myself to take a lunch instead of snacking on crackers. Now there is nothing wrong with sharing, venting and expriencing what we are feeling and going through. I know I do enough of it on here In fact it's good to get share as we learn from each other Donna 338/167

Here's a swift kick in the patoooty! VERA!!! Oi! Vitamins - everyday woman, without fail. This is so very important to ensure that we get to keep you around. Water - very important, 100oz, everyday! Your body can't flush the fat away withou****er and the more you drink, the less you retain. Protein - 100g. Our bodies are basically made up of water and protein. If you don't take in enough protein, the weight you lose will end up being muscle mass...NOT GOOD!!! Exercise - try to walk, a little everyday...5 days a week. The walking will help your back as well. Food - 3 bites protein, 1 bite veggies/fruit...until you're satisfied, not until you're full. When you start to feel full, it's time to stop, this isn't about seeing how much our pouches can hold everytime we sit down to eat. QUIT SNACKING! Labs - you should be having them done every 6 months (at least). That way you know what difficiencies you have. Vera, hon. Please, please please take your vitamins, drink your water, eat your protein and move. I want to see you healthy and happy! YOU CAN DO THIS!!! Jen

One thing I am experiencing right now related to water is very very low blood pressure (like 70/40) - WAYYYYY too low...and I have found that when I am hydrated from drinking water my blood pressure is 90/60. I also get severe lag and feet cramps when my water intake gets too low - so water is so very important health wise - you can die from dehydration so don't mess with your liquid intake, you are messing with your life.... Ok I'm done fussing at you (everyone else fussed about the vitamins and protein) I do one scoop of protein in my coffee in the morning to jump start my daily protein. And right now I walk during my lunch hour (good exercise) so I am doing isopure protein at lunch at my desk...I am trying to get the last 15 pounds off by my 1 year. But the problem with doing too much protein drinks is it leaves our pouch empty and makes us want to snack...which when done too much puts our weight back on...only you know if you are snacking too much - and if you are going to sanck then make sure those snacks are string cheese (I live on it), peanuts (chewed well), other protein rich foods and filling foods. Make sure you wait 30 minutes after you have ate to drink so your pouch stays full longer AND so some absorption takes place.... It is so hard to kick those old habits out - they left me for so long and about 2 months ago started to creep back in - I had to take a stand and say no...I'm not going there anymore. I snack - I'll do suger free popsicle or sugar free icecream bar (ONE) at night...I'll do other small snacks but I also dump with any sugar over 4 grams so I stay away...last night I ate the topping off of pizza - looks like I also dump on greezy foods too...oh I was nauseous last night...so my body reaction to foods keeps me away from most things (except crackers and I am staying away from them because I desire to get this last 15 pounds off and crackers let me maintain my weight but not loose). You can get back on track - tell that little voice that is telling you it is ok to snack or ok not to drink all your water or you don't need all that protein to shush up....you can do it...

Vera, You've come too far to give up now!!! We are losing more slowly and that can be frustrating - making it hard to keep to the rules. But some rules you HAVE to keep following - for life. Water water water water water - you need it to live!! Vitamins vitamins vitamins vitamins - you need them to live! Protein protein protein veg/fruit - you need them to keep healthy I've been having a protein drink everyday for breakfast - but it goes through too quick then I want to snack. So, this weekend I made some cupcake size quishe (sp?) with eggs, onion, peppers, mushrooms, sausage, ham, and cheese - lots of protein. I've had those for breakfast instead and they keep me full longer - no desire to snack. I've heard that you can actually gain weight from protein drinks because they go through you and then you want to snack. After trying to get my protein from food and not my drinks - I actually lost 2 pounds this weekend. I didn't feel the desire to snack. I'm actually only losing about 2-3 pounds a month now - so I was excited. I know you can get back on track - we've got faith in you!!! Candy 266/150/140
