Day 1 of back to the grind stone... how did it go?!

Well ladies I'm proud to say that today was really good for me! It's far from over though. Tuesdays and Thursdays are my hell days. It works like this. I wake up around 8:00 I had a doctors appointment this morning. Then class at 10:00 and then homewor****il class at 2 which lasts until 5 then home. Dinner then Sleep til ten-ish and then work from 11pm to 7am. Then I have to work again tomorrow at my other job from 12 to 9:30ish (which is a three hour drive to get to). I don't get a lot of sleep these days (but Mom says it's ok cause I'm young hehe)... I'm not that young!! lol I'll be 25 on Monday the 24th. Anyways now that the pity party is over... hehe My day was good. I've had 4 of my 6 meals so far (I'm saving two for work) I'm trying to enforce the no food after 8:00pm rule with myself, but the nights that I work nights, it's the no food after 4am rule. So today... so far I've had Calories 764 Protein 48 Fat 28 Carbs 100 I asked my nutritionist if he thought I was getting too many carbs and he said that it didn't matter where the other calories came from after I get my protein in. My work snacks include :1/2 of a six inch from subway 1/2 cup of salad and 1 cup of pretzels. Which will put my days totals up to: Calories: 1191 Protein: 67 Fat: 38 Carbs: 173 Wow that does seem like a whole lot of carbs, and my pretzel habit is significantly increasing my calories (it's more than my sandwich and salad with dressing put together..) maybe I"ll do yogurt instead. All in all though not a bad food day. I didn't make it to the gym today, but I did get in exercise... I walked about 20 blocks to and from classes and other places. Not exactly an aerobic workout... but definately exercise. and big news flash... I GOT IN ALL MY LIQUID!! This is a big accomplisment because it never happens! I still have the whole night to go and I've already gotten in over 64 ounces... woo hoo! Ok how was your first day of back to the grind stone? Oh P.S. I'll be at my Mom's this weekend (staying with her while I'm working the other job) so I probably wont post again until Sunday night or Monday... but stick with it!!!

Brooke Have a Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!! On your routine, try switching your 'pretzel' addiction to almonds. Buy the unsalted / blanched kind. Great for munching, high in protein and low in sodium. The salt/sodium will cause water retention and will slow the weight loss. Good luck. Your exercise (walking) is grea****ch the birthday cake Karen G

Brooke, Happy Birthday. I hope you have a great birthday. It sounds like your doing great and if your nutritionist thinks your doing ok than go with that. I also agree walking is your exercise so keep it up. I had an ok day yesterday, I'm one pound away now from that 100 lbs. Take care, Loni 237/140/138
