Use of weight loss groups
Has anyone gone to any weight loss groups, i.e. LA Weight Loss, Jenny Craig, etc. post op? I am 10 months post op and have lost 65lbs with 40 to go, and I have not lost anything in 4 months due to going back to my old eating habits and lack of consistant exercise. I have lacked discipline lately even though I know I have given up a lot to get where I am at. I was thinking of getting outside help get back on track. I am striving to walk more and make sure I get enough water, but I am scheduled for knee replacement surgery in January and I really want to lose 10-15lbs more before the surgery. I am really craving sweets and unfortunately I don't dump unless I eat a lot at one time. How do you break the sweet habit? Do sugar substitutes keep you craving sweets? Sorry-a lot of questions!
I have not joined anything but I have heard of others joining WW or gyms to keep the weight down. I see know harm in joining something that might help keep you on the straight and narrow with the WLS. It don't make you a failure, only shows that you want to keep the weight off.
I'm not moving either but I'm not unhappy either with my size 12 pants but I was thinking it would be nice to fit into a size 10 pants so I might have to jump start my butt once again or get my husband to jump start it for me.

Thanks for the support! I read your profile and you certainly went through a lot to get where you are today. I have been a size 14 for about 4 months and it sure would be good to go down to a 12 before the end of the year. A 10 would really be great. I haven't worn a size 10 in my adult life. I can see that it is attainable with some determination and persistance!
It would be great to have a December WLS walking club! I'm just glad that all of us across the country are able to at least talk to each other for support. My doctor has a local message board, but there is not a lot of activity on it. Is there an annual social or convention where WLS post ops can get together?
