More about what I have learned!!!
Good Morning All;
Well here I am again to share more on what I have learned about myself since I have been away. First of all let me say that I have learned to laugh at myself. I have found that since surgery there have been many changes not the least of which has to do with memory. Since I am of the legal age I no longer have times that I forget things as I now have Senior Moments so much so that in the middle of a conversation I lose my train of thought quite often and when I am talking with my supervisor and this occurs She now asks if I'm having another one of my senior moments and laughs. Another thing happened the other day, I had just gotten out of the shower and started to dry off when I hear, clop, clop, clop and I am thinking first of all how is someone making that much noise walking toward the bathroom when we have carpeting. I turned around to see who it was and no one was there so I started to dry off again and clop, clop, clop it was then that I realized that it was my batwings under my arms making all that noise. So learn to lighten up on yourself take things one at a time live life as if there is no tomorrow and try to cram everything you want to accomplish into everything you do and if you do not manage to get it all in today maybe there will be a tomorrow and you can try again and if not then what good would it have done you to worry about it anyway. You will be a much happier person when you realize that you are worth much more than how many pounds you lost today or this week. When you can look at yourself in a much broader picture and begin to see all that you have accomplished instead of what is left to do, not only are you going to have a happier and healthier life but also the friends and loved ones around you are going to feed off that and you will begin to have a profound influence on them. This life is short even at best and I have decided to enjoy what is left of it and I refuse to let an obsession of losing or not losing weight outweigh where I am now and what I have accomplished. My greatest hope is that all of you that are prone to keep yourselves worried and depressed over all this will learn to take it easy on you. Try looking at this as an adventure sure there are going to be ups and downs but it's not all about the getting there and how fast you made it but rather what you did along the way that brought you the most happiness.

Jim
