Tomorrow, I will be 10 months post-op. I am stuck at 93 pounds lost. The scale has only moved 2 pounds in the past 3 months. I am both worried and frustrated. I work out regularly, walking 9 kms a day and doing resistance training 3 times a week. I drink 100+ ounces of water every day. My calories are 1200 to 1300. No sugar or white foods. All fats are below 10 grams per meal. I have started adding one protein shake per day. I feel like the only December crew member not making the Century Club. Got any tips or tricks for me !! Thanks Karen G

Karen - I don't really have any advise. I haven't lost any weight in 4 weeks. It sounds like you are doing great and a model patient. Do you think you are loosing inches and not weight? Muscle does weigh more than fat. You might be toning up and buiilding muscle. You will definatly make it to the century club, your body just wants to do it on it's own time. My exercise is mostly focused on cardio, not weight training. Strangely, yes, I am still losing inches, but no pounds. At 201, I can fit into size 14. I thought I would be size 18 at this weight. Thanks for your encouragement and hugs. Karen G

Karen, Don't feel bad. I lost less than you did. I don't think I lost any weight in the last 2-3 months. I am noticing the old bad habits creeping back in. I am going to force myself to shape up and start drinking those awful protein shakes again. Good luck to you, Irene

I was totally off protein shakes, but have since gone back to using one a day. I am hoping the extra protein will help jumpstart my weight loss. Karen G

I'm stuck too sweetie... I've only lost 19lbs in the past 4 months. I'm 4lbs away from the century club and I feel like I'm never going to get there, let alone make it to goal which is another 46lbs away. I just keep plugging away at it everyday and I try not to give up. We'll make it Karen, it's just going to take longer then we had hoped. Jen

My dr does not want me to make the century club I have lost 80 pounds. I can wear most size 12 clothes. And yes I'm happy about it!! I really thought I would be loosing 100 pounds and weigh-in at 126 pounds by now!!! Well that is not going to happen and I have accepted that. I will be 40 years old in January!! (I'm still wondering how the heck that has happened!!!) Ok back to the topic at hand. we are all different and it is fair to yourself to compareyou vs. other WLS patients. We are ll unique persons. If your Dr is happy with your progress you should be too!! Remember all of us are different. Just think about were you were 10 months ago!! You have come along way BABY!!!! Hang in there and PLEASE do not be so hard on yourself. We love you just the way you are!! Love & Blessings Tonya

I'm sitting between 172 and around 174 now but I'm not complaining as I'm happy in my size 12 pants and so is husband. But I would like to lose and get down to around 150lbs so I'll have to up my walking and working out. We all have to remember that the closer to goal the slower the weight comes off and that we must work TWICE as hard to lose those last pounds we want to shed so now is the true test if you want those few extra pounds shed so let's get those ropes out http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_7_9.gif Donna

Donna - got any secrets to share? How about a typical day's consumption ??? Perhaps there is something in your eating habits that could help me to increase my loss? You have done fantastic. A great inspiration. Karen G
