Have you done this?

I've become a total shopaholic. I always loved shopping and had been shopping even at my heaviest. I would buy stuff for my daughter, my husband and my son. Well, now it's time for me, me, me. Unfortunately, I am still shopping at Lane Bryant, but 14/16 is way better than 22/24. Today I went over there on my lunch hour and saw these really cute cargo pants that were in a size 14 average. I really still wear a 16, but I squeezed into them and bought them. I see it as an extra incentive to lose more weight. Do you guys buy things too small now hoping to get into them later? Do you think it's silly?

Hello Love To Shop, I love to shop too!!! I love to clearance shop. I am wearing 18's. I bought a pair of 16's that I squeezed into. I still shop at Lane Bryant too. They sent me a $15.00 gift certificate and I got two shirts for $11.00 on Sunday. (Size 14/16 they fit woo hoo). When I first started my journey I found some black pants at Walmart for $3.00 I bought them in three different sizes. Take care, Diana 379/205/?

YES I love buying nice tight fitting clothing. I do miss shopping at Lane Bryant because I love their lingerie! Everytime I go into EXPRESS I swear i feel intimidated. I feel like everyone is just looking at me "wondering...what the hell is that fat girl doing in here?? Well i tried on my first pair of express jeans.... size 8!!! So mentally i'm still a fat girl.... but who cares.....I'm a fat girl in a size 8 dammit I need to watch my charge card... It's so bad I gave all four major credit cards to my dad for safe keeping. Now my poor boyfriend is suffering from the buy me this and that...and OoOhhh gotta have that syndrome. It's not silly and I bought a cute skirt and a sexy top....so that by Dec.. I can wear it! Well, I've become a preferred customer at the consignment and second hand stores.... I have bought some new stuff, but mostly I buy second hand. I bought size 36 Levis for $4.99 last month. They are black, 501's. I just love them. Today, I am wearing new black pants ($19.99 - size 14 - Reitmans Department store) and a second hand long sleeved tunic top, gold with black "flower power" design. ($1.99 at Value Village second hand store) So, its a mix and match effort. Yup, I guess I too love shopping. Karen G

Girl I am in Credit Card debt. I love to shop and boy it shows on my statement each month. I am now having the problem of things not fitting in a few months and all my new clothes are too BIG! that's a good problem but I don't feel like I get the wear them but a few times. Its funny how when you are smaller that you undergrow things alot faster than when I did when I was bigger. 5 LBS means alot now!! Deana

Oh yea - last spring at dillards they had $200 suits for $35 - I bought one 16 one 14 and one 12 - guess what - I've given the 16 and 14 away and am now able to wear a 12...I can take advantage of sales now - when I was a size 24 I never got sales...I love to shop now - so I stay out of the stores - my closet is stuffed...I also went to buy some jeans - well they were the new streatch jeans - I put the 12s n and not one stretch was used so I tried on the 10's - ok still baggy in the stomach - so I ended up buying 8s - that is my goal and I can wear them (they are a little tight but tight on a size 8 is much better looking than tight in a size 24
