Anyone else experiencing this?
Hey fellow Decemberer's!
I don't post much and I am sorry for that! You all are a great group to have! I was wondering though if anyone has experienced wahat seems like a significance in their appetite. I feel like I am hungry all the time and I feel like I am eating like a cow these days! I am so affraid I'm going to stretch my pouch and need a revision or start gaining weight. Any suggestions? Hope everyone is doing well!

While I can't speak for anyone other than myself, I suspect it is happening to alot of us. I know I feel the same way. I remember early on my surgeon telling me that soon I would feel like I could eat normal again. I didn't think he meant 'that' normal.
As far as suggestions.... just getting back to basics is the best advice I can give. I just wish I could do it myself.

My appetite came back at the 6 month mark. I can also eat pretty much anything now without dumping. From talking with people who have been successful at keeping the wt. off 5+ years out, the secret of their success is doing it the old fashioned way...cutting calories and exercise. I have found that I eat 5-6 small meals a day which have around 300 cals and more than 20 grams of protein each. That keeps the hunger at bay and has still allowed me to loose wt. With taking that many calories in, exercise is a must. I Nordic Track 4-5 hours a week, walk 2-4 hours a week and swim 1.5 hours a week. It sounds like a lot, but it has worked for me.

Tricia,
I definitely noticed increased in my appetite, especially before my period. I try to be good, but I have fallen off the wagon quite a few times with the sweets. I always wish I would dump on some of that stuff. My weight loss has not been nearly what I would like it to be, so I really need to get back to basics. I am noticing I can eat a lot more now too.

Hey I am on the same boat w/ you. And I am scared. I haven't lost any weight in 4 weeks and wondering if I'm stuck here at this weight. It depends on what the food is on how much I can eat. Like a piece of boneless chicken breast fills me up fast but usually hungry 3-4hrs later. I can eat 2 over easy eggs w/ 3T of cottage cheese and still not feel full. but I don't eat more I just try to be busy. I think I have a lot of head hunger which is sometimes worse than hunger. It's good to know we are all in this together. I just really think we should not quit excercising and push the water down our throats I hate water but we have to drink it.
