Diet & Exercise & Protein... OH MY!
Lions & Tigers & Bears... OH MY! That is what I say when I think of diet, exercise and protein... they are all a permanent part of my daily routine... or at least they SHOULD be.
I can't cheat for a minute, because I won't get full, but when I drink a protein shake in the morning, I recover the feeling in my pouch, that should be felt when I eat too much.
I just don't want to gain back the 100 pounds I lost. Could I?
Someone please Post their routine, IF YOU ARE STILL LOOSING, and it will inspire me to get back on track with my diet, my exercise and my protein....
OH MY!
HELP!

Please be specific, because I need to know where some of my Crew is on this one! BE HONEST!!!

Hi Vera, this is what works for me so far.
morning:
5am - protein shake, vitamins
5:30am - 1/2 hour on treadclimber, water
6:00am - Bodies in motion (I tape a few shows off FIT TV) and those are my exercises for during the week., water
7:00am - water
9:00 am - breakfast (at work, my breakfast varies) 1/4 cup grits w/added protein powder, sausage patty, 1 scrambled egg, water
11am - protein shake or boiled egg, water
1:00 - lunch - salad w/grilled chicken, fruit cup, water
3:00 - sunflower seeds or cashews, vitamins
7:00pm - dinner (varies) - grilled salmon, 1/4 cup mashed potatoes, steamed veggies, water
8:00pm - 1/2 hr on treadclimber, 75 crunches (even though my stomach is flabby as hell)
10:00pm - water
I exercise at least 4-5 times a week. You have to allow your body to rest in between.
On the weekends, I do Billy Blanks boot camp series or go to the gym (if I have time since I have a 7 year old) to take a class or do aqua aerobics.
This journey has not be easy by no means, I force myself to exercise and drink my water because I have an old before pic of myself taped to my mirror and to the refrigerator (to deter me if I want to snack) reminding me of how far I have come. I hope that my tips help you in some way.
Good luck and email me if you need anything else.

My appetite has been back for a while. I weigh twice a month and have had as much as a 5lb gain, but that is when I don't exercise and go back to eating "bad" foods that I unfortunately do not dump on. According to 2 friends who have had this surgery, from now on, we get to loose weight the old fashioned way....calorie control and exercise. I find that I am able to loose pretty successfully and feel "normal" (AKA not deprived and exhausted) if I stick to 5-6 300 cal meals per day which have at least 20gm protein grams. I try to get about 6 hours of exercise a week. Here are some examples of my "meals".
24 oz. 8th Continent soy milk with 2 cups strawberries and 7 Sweet and Lows (280 cals and 21 grams protein)
Premier Protein Bar from Sams (280 cals and 30 or 31 grams protein)
2 oz. Kraft 2% colby cheese and 5 Jack Links (KC MAsterpiec BBQ-from Sam's) (300 cals, 28 grams protein)
1/3 of the following egg salad recipie: 1 can tuna, 6 eggs, 4T no fat mayo and 2T relish (210 cals, 23? grams protein)
1/4 of the following turkey veggie soup: 1 pound 99% fat free ground turkey, bag of frozen soup veggies, can of chopped tomatoes, packet of dry onion soup mix, 8 ounces tomato joice (275 cals, 29 grams of protein)
Best of luck in our mutual struggle!!!
