This is really hard

Hey all, I really try to be positive and I'm happy with the weight I've lost. However I really want to get to goal. I have been bouncing around the same weight for about 6-8 weeks now. Anyone else at a stand still? I'm beginning to think I've lost all that I'm going to lose. Maybe I need to rethink my goal. I was so consistant for so long and all of a sudden it just came to a screeching halt. Just wondering if this is the same that has happened to everyone else or if I'm just done. Candy 266/157/140

I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN, I HAVE BEEN AT 204-206 FOR AT LEAST A MONTH AND I WONDER IF THIS IS THE WEIGHT GOD HAS INTENDED FOR ME. HANG IN THERE, I AM, SLOWLY BUT SURELY WE WILL GET THERE. JAMIE 334/204

Candy, I platued breifly just above 200. It is comming off again but very slow. Your goal looks good to me. And you have lost a ton of weight... so you just need to be patient. Remember they actually give you 15months to loose the excess weight. Jane

Thanks Jane - I knew it would slow at about 6-8 months out - I just had no idea it would just stop and not move! Thanks for your words of wisdom. Candy

Remember it comes of slower the closer we get to goal. I have not set a goal for myself. I'm also trying to stay away from the scale but today I stood on the scale and dropped some more but I have been sitting at 178 for a while. If you sit for to long then you might look at what your eating and how active you are. 338/176 -162

Candy I am experience the same thing. WE are doing great. My Dr said that 80% of the weight you would like to loose will come off quick & easier. The last 20% will take time and a lot of work. I started at 268 and have been at a stand still at 166. I continue to work out and eat correctly. I figure it will eventually come off (I HOPE). Just remember your not alone. Angy 269/166/140 -103lbs

Angy Thanks for the reminder! We started about the same weight and we are now about the same weight. That makes me feel better than I'm right on target. We also have the same goal - how tall are you? That's again - we are not alone. Candy 266/157/140

I've been sitting for 7 weeks now. Sitting at one weight is nothing new to me, it started happening right after surgery. I seem to lose some, then sit. I used to sit for around 3 weeks, now I sit for 6+ weeks. 3 more pounds would make me happy for now, so I could say I lost 100 lbs. Then 5+ more lbs after that so i could be under 200. I have been shrinking again a bit of late. I have to believe that if I follow the food rules (which I do) and get some exercise (which I do now that my hips don't hurt quite so much), that the scale will move again. Sue O.
