DO ANY OF YOU KNOW????

JUST WONDERING IF ANY OF YOU KNOW WHAT % OF LOSS YOU HAVE TO BE AT FOR A PLASTIC SURGEON TO GO AHEAD WITH SKIN REMOVAL?? LIKE I WEIGH 204 RIGHT NOW AND FIT IN 13-14 BUT JUST CURIOUS HOW CLOSE TO GOAL YOU HAVE TO BE. iM LOSING SO SLOW NOW THAT IF MY TUMMY AND BOOBIES WERE FIXED I WOULD BE VERY HAPPY WHERE IM AT. PLUS MY INS IS GONE IN 2 MONTHS SO NEED TO GET THIS DONE IF I CAN WHILE ITS COVERED CAUSE I WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO AGAIN??? MY SURGEON NEVER REALLY SET A GOAL WEIGHT FOR ME SO IM NOT SURE IWAS THINK 160??? LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU ALL KNOW BOUT THIS JAMIE

From what I was told by my surgeon...She wants us within 10lbs or so of HER goal and we should be stable at that weight for at least 6 months. My surgeon not only does the WLS but will also do the follow up tummy tuck. I'm 5'2" and my surgeon's goal for me is 140 so I won't even consider any plastics until I've been at that weight for at least 6 months. Good luck! I know you're in a tough spot. Jen

Jamie Hi I haven't seen you on here in forever! How are you and the family? Hey if your insurance will pay for it and you are happy w/ where you are at, then go for it, but you might get a little more saggy skin if you lose more after tummy tuck or boob job. My surgeon wants us to wait until we are 18 mo out before getting any tucks and nips. Why are you losing your insurance? Kelly

IM LOSING MY INS CAUSE MY HUBBY WILL BE TAKEN OFF ACTIVE DUTY STATUS SOON, OTHERWISE IM DOIN OK. HAVING CT SCAN TOMORROW TO CHECK FOR HERNIA YUCK. JAMIE

I go for a PS consult on 10/07. I am not ready for the surgery yet, but my PCP and I discussed the need and she and I want to see what the PS says. Hope that you and yours are good. Monica

My surgeon wants me at goal, and stablized in my weight loss, before surgery. I went for a consult in July, just to know what to expect. I am hoping to be able to have PS by next spring. I am at 201 pounds, down from 294. I hope to get to 150, but would settle for 160. Karen G
