Trials and Blessings
Well I have back slid a little. My son left for Iraq, he is in the Army National Guard, my daughter-in-law lost their baby at 10 weeks the day after my son/her husband left for Iraq. My husband lost his job because Ideal American/Prairie Farms closed their doors. Then he got a job 45 miles away from home in Holland Indiana at the Holand/Prairie Farms. My husband is not happy with traveling so far from home and is still looking for a job in Evansville, or in Indianapolis were my kids and grandkids live. So if you are reading this, "please send prayers".
My Liver Emzymes are out of the normal range and very high. I don't drink alcohol. Does anyone know if this could be connected to our Gastric Bypass Surgery?
My 2 teeth are going to have to be pulled the end of this month.
I got back on regular cokes, so now I'm trying to do without them again.
I need to get back to writing everything I eat and drink in my computer again so I can accurately keep drink of the fluids, protein grams, and calories per day.
The good news is with exercise and weight loss of 149 pounds I have accomplished another goal of getting off all prescription pain relievers. Thank you God!
I'm wearing size 12's. I some how regained the 3/4 of inch I had lost last year. I was 5'.25" and now I am back at 5' 4".
My weight loss is slowing down a lot since my 6 month check up. So I am going to kick up my exercise because I have 47 pounds to go. I originally thought I'd get to 136 pounds, but my doctor set it recently for 140 pounds which I still intend to achieve.
I'm so sorry I've been away from you all. I've just been so stressed and I know I would of handled it better if I would have stayed in contact with you all.
Any advise or info anyone has would be greatly appreciated.
Bye for now.

Hi Mary,
I had a few weeks like that too (just not to that extreme). Prayers and blessings your way!
My liver enzymes were way off the charts when I started to have problems with my gall bladder. I had many stones and had to have it removed a few weeks ago. They go extremely high just after a gall bladder attack, and take about 5 days to drop, so maybe that is happening?
Congrats on your weight loss! I think you are doing fabulous!!!
I also have gained height since losing weight, a hole inch and a quarter. I was always 5'7", but the last time I went to the Dr. I was 5' 8.25 inches. Go figure.
Hope this helps,
Cheryl
My blessings and prayers go out to your family.
You sound like a very strong person and family so I know you'll make it through those hard times. Keep telling yourself things have to get better and in the mean time remember that you have all of us out here to lean on and vent when ever you need to.
Just because we had WLS don't mean we are not normal. I think some people feel that we will never fall off the wagon and screw up with eating or drinking the wrong things. Don't beat yourself up to badly. Just kick yourself in the butt and get back on track
I have a topic that I want to address on here and maybe the main board also about so called "FRIENDS"

Mary,
Girl you are going through so much right now and I'm so sorry for all of it, you are in my prayers. I can see how easy it would be to slide a little bit, but just try and stay strong and you will get through this. I'm sorry I don't know about the liver stuff, have you asked your surgeon about it? Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you, and remember we are all here for you.
Loni
Hi Mary,
{{{{{{{{{{Mary}}}}}}}}}}
I'm very sorry that life is hard for you at the moment. There is an old saying that god does not give you anything in this life that he doesn't think you can handle. You are a strong person and I know you will make it through this difficult time.
Just remember to take care of yourself above all else mentally, physically and emotionally, because if you don't, nobody else will.
My palms are open, I offer you my blessings...
Vicki.
